Well he can **** off tomorrow.

Can’t get a team up to play the bulldogs, the Titans, the bulldogs etc etc

Signs Bird instead of a halfback.

Guarantees Niko the halfback spot.

Resigns a backrower with a busted neck.

Resigns Opacic when he won’t play him.

Manages to piss off Walters and Parker.

Puts Boyd to fullback despite obvious fitness issues.

Our best year was 2015 and we have been going downhill since.

The teams attitude is shit. You see it in the defence.

Still no idea how to ice a game.

Milf would have to be the dumbest 6 I have ever seen. Good runner. Reasonable passer to left. Can’t pass to the right for shit. Ok kicking game. Zero and I mean zero game awareness.

Bennett is past it.

He can go right now.

How many times did Wayne **** your missus exactly?

most of this is a load of shit

Which parts cause pretty sure he did fail to sign a halfback, sign a busted bird with no clear role in the team on good dollars (5 mill game last I heard), guaranteed Knik and refused to try anyone else other than a bird with a clipped wing, resigned a Gillo for longer without even one game post career threatening injury, played a fullback who can’t had to completely revamp his running style cause of hammys? Please tell us how we are closer to winning a premiership than 2015 with a non functioning spine, leadership vacuum and young squad that will likely need a couple more years minimum?

The emotion is high but excluding that which of the stated points are you disagreeing with? And which are you saying is a good idea? Only one I can think of is buying Bird which while disagree with WB should know talent so could accept on faith but lot of salary cap used when don’t have a 7...

Why do people keep up with this myth that we signed Bird instead of a halfback. He offered a contract to a halfback, he just got a better one.

I think the issue is Birds money could have supplemented that offer or been available to another halfback option... it is a zero sum game with the cap. Pay big dollars for a centre who doesn’t want to be a centre, a five eight on the Maccas diet or a lock without a sternum or whatever Bird is meant to be for us does limit free money for a halfback or new hooker. Issue is whether available or not. If talent scouts were really hot could have got Ponga for less (not suggesting realistic or appropriate money at the time but if systems and recruitment was that smart and WB knows so much more and is on such a higher level than the rest of us plebs (he is so far beyond logic and common sense apparently that we can’t understand 1/1000 of the situation) as his fan boys are suggesting in defending obviously stupid decisions then why isn’t he picking up ones like this? Or Blake green? Or some other rabbit out of the hat? - absurd logic I realise but so is playing a fullback so let’s get on that juice and enjoy it for once.)

That wasn't the case.

The Broncos could afford the money, they just refused to pay that amount for him and quite frankly they made the right decision there.

There were no other realistic options. Blake Green was already a done deal for the Warriors.

Cleary has done a presser this morning saying that he is definitely staying with the Tigers next year.

This will further ramp up speculation about Bennet and Penrith.

Mitchell Pearce? I know later on but already blew our wad all over bird. Could have pushed more for Ryley jacks when he was clearly on outer. You are tell me the he richest club in the game with the supposed greatest coach of all time can’t find something resembling a f***ing halfback? Or at least have someone in lower grades ready for a go? FFS!

And to think the season isn’t even over yet! Strap yourself in for the end of season review threads!! [emoji23]

the board don't run the footy team, the coach does ... in fact as the majority of the board are business people and have never played top level rugby league, they should stay the **** away from decisions surrounding the team.

the board interfering in on-field decisions is a sure strategy to see us plummet to the bottom of the ladder

Agree board shouldn’t run team. But board is responsible for overall direction which includes review of senior stuff performance most notably the coach.

Look at most of the big boards in the world. Most are business people not scientists for scientific companies and so forth. But board does need to know when experts aren’t going in the right direction, succession plan and hold people if not getting results. So not seeing the point unless board is micromanaging?

I respectfully think it is time for Wayne to exit. Frankly there is something slightly odd and off putting about watching a soon to be 70 year old plead his case. If he was making great decisions, had a progressive attack, made rational player positions, I would think otherwise. If he wants to stay around in a recruitment/ management role, fine but otherwise I would rather see him coach elsewhere.

I think most of us on the boards agree we are desperate for a real organising 7. Knik could then move to the bench and share the 9 with Macca. Macca would do all the hard yakka in the opening twenty minutes just ensuring our ruck remained at least stable. Knick would then come on for the second 20 and concentrate on attack. There seems to be an extreme lack of available good 7s running around in Australia at present. Perhaps there is a good 7 running around in the British/French/Catalan super league.

IF ONLY WE HAD SOMEONE AT THE BRONCOS WHO HAD SOME UP TO DATE AND INSIDE INFO ON WHO WOULD MAKE A GOOD HALF AND WOULD LIKE TO PLAY IN AUSTRALIA UNDER THE CURRENT ENGLAND COACH. Does anyone have any ideas?

Bird was certainly a luxury buy, but I don't think it had any effect on us signing a HB.

I don’t have a Wayne agenda either way. On balance I appreciate all he has done for the Broncs over his career. At the end of the day though it can be argued that our last two seasons have been particularly underwhelming. Not just the results, but the overall attitude and character of the team that is at the least perceived from the outside. Won’t be shocked if he’s gone after this year however unfortunate it will be as a less than flattering ending to his legacy here.
Would much prefer he went out on a high after all he has achieved for the club. I just hope the current situation doesn’t leave both the club and Wayne looking silly.

This. How is Wayne the coach of England, a country where their play makers in both League and Union love to play with their foot more often than not, and can't find a halfback, even if he's a poverty Widdop, to come over and play for us?

This is the thing for me... I thought for sure Bennett would've grabbed the pick of the English halves to come over and lead the team around.

You'd probably get them on the cheaper side compared to aus halves and they're coming into a well established team. Pommy halves should be screaming out to come over here and you can't tell me there is no one over there that is NRL standard.
