Jordan Rapana dislocated his shoulder in the second test against England.

If he requires surgery, he will be out for at least 6 months.

Boy oh boy, would love to see Ricky's reaction to that.

Scott Drinkwater out for up to 14 weeks due to a torn pec.

Nathan Brown set to be out for 3 months.

Tore his pec and is expected to need surgery.

Dobbo (drink) says Inglis will announce his immediate retirement. And he’ll forfeit his contract so Souths don’t have to carry it on the cap.

I wonder why he would give up all that money? Are we gonna get a Russell Crowe movie with GI as his sidekick?

‘When Planes Fly’

The story of a young man who had a big decision to make but couldn’t do it due to having unforeseen circumstances. Watch as our hero, despite all odds, overcomes himself to become something he perhaps never thought he could...a magician who finally manages, not just to pull a rabbit out of the hat...but become one...if planes could fly.

Surely the NRL won’t let players ‘forfeit’ their contract? I don’t believe for a second he won’t get that money, it will just get it another way. What a rort.

Few dollars under the table from rusty won’t go a stray
Plus the nrl will give him some token aboriginal ambassador job

Genuine question. Will Inglis cap burden remain in the club's salary cap books, even if Inglis forfeits the money? I seem to remember something of that ilk happening...

FTR, I don't think it should and it sucks for both Inglis and Souths if he has to retire, especially if Bennett's concerns about GI's mental health are warranted.

From what’s been reported, if he quits then no,

Are you telling me we wouldn't do the same?

No, and that’s the point isn’t it. Clubs shouldn’t be given a very easy way to flaunt the rules. Take Boyd for example, if he chooses to retire before his contract runs out we should have to wear that for making a stupid decision to sign him for that long.

If this is allowed to happen it will just open the door to sign veterans on long term contracts that they will retire from and ‘forfeit’ their money.

Can't someone be medically retired and thus have their contract paid out? That's what happened to Watmough right?

I think the Eels tried to do that ... but it was ruled a pre-existing injury and the request was denied
