Guys, I just had a horrible thought.

If Kodi leaves, who will be our scapegoat? Y'know for the times we continue to derp it up.

Boyd? Milf? Macca? Bennett haunting us from a new life?

When we finally unearth this mythical game manager and organiser and he still has to contend with lollipop passes around his bootlaces or a few feet above his head from McCullough, or indifference from his fullback, do we just drop him and say "Come back Kodi! All is forgiven!"

Either way, it's a fascinating discussion.

We are shit. We just can't agree on the reasons why we are so shit.

This is gold. Keep it comin', fellas!

All of the above I'd say

The Warriors are close to signing Kodi Nikorima from the Broncos, with an announcement expected shortly.
Stuff understands discussions have progressed well since the Broncos gave the Warriors permission to talk to the player on Monday, with the deal close to being finalised.
Nikorima would join the club almost straight away, although the halfback could play one final game for the Broncos in Thursday's grudge match against the Rabbitohs on Thursday night.
It's understood the Warriors are willing to pay the 25-year-old more than double what he's on at the Broncos and unlike the Brisbane club, the Warriors aren't under any salary cap pressure. It is understood Nikorima was on around $250,000 a season at the Broncos.

The rumour mill has gone into a frenzy that the Kiwi halfback, who was born in Palmerston North could be returning to this side of the Tasman, while neither the Warriors or Broncos are making any comment.

Chanel Harris-Tavita may not play many more games in the NRL this season.
Coincidently, Nikorima's first game for the Warriors could be in Brisbane, when the Warriors take on the Dragons as part of the NRL's Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium on May 11.
Nikorima's departure does leave the mega club short of an experienced half to partner Anthony Milford.
However, Seibold rates 18-year-old Thomas Dearden highly and he's expected to make his NRL debut soon and was already putting pressure on Milford and Nikorima for a run with the first grade team.
Nikorima's arrival would mean Chanel Harris-Tavita gets relegated to the reserve grade NSW Cup for the remainder of the season, along with Adam Keighran, unless there are injuries to either Blake Green or Nikorima.
The Warriors may also renew their interest in the highly rated Dylan Brown from the Eels later in the year, once he's able to talk to other clubs.
The 18-year-old Brown is under contract with Eels until the end of next season, but can talk to other clubs on November 1.
He has already said he's keen on testing his value on the market. It was reported that last year the Warriors tabled a $3 million, six-year deal when they believed he was able to move at the end of the 2019 season.
The Warriors withdrew their offer, once it became apparent Brown was signed to the Eels until the end of 2020, but Warriors CEO has said they haven't ruled out making another play for Brown.
With the 32-year-old Green midway through his three-year deal with the Warriors, the timing would work out well for Nikorima to eventually team up with Brown or Harris-Tavita from the 2021 season.
I have no idea how credible this site is.

Dearden playing this weekend. Nikorima out. Seibs said that Nikorima had some big decisions to mate regarding his future. All but gone if you ask me after hearing that

Yep. Kodi will be leaving us, no doubt about it.

Look, he isn't the 7 or 6 we need, he's been a great servant for us. I'd prefer him off the bench but I doubt that was going to happen again. He's a great little player just not what we need. Time to blood Dearden and see what he's got in 1st grade.

Good luck Kodi and all the best.

This could go one of two ways.

Milford totally ownes the team and continues to play like he did against the sharks or there is too much pressure on him and he tries to do too much.

I’m not expecting too much from Tom this early in his career. Anything better then solid and I’m happy.

This is exciting.
Good on Tom, and all the best.
Not expecting too much from him early, just hope he does his job!

Congrats young fella. Here’s hoping we finally have our long term half decided.

Would have loved the chance to cheer Kodi off before he left us. Having served with us since he was 12 years old I think his send off is looking fairly ordinary at present.

Let's hope the boys turn in a superb effort, beat the Rabbits and Darius celebrates his 300th while dedicating the win to the wee man.

This is not a easy decision for Kodi to make, but I guess more than double what he’s making at Broncos could be really attractive not only to him but his family too.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he took the offer, wish him all the best

Dang I love Kodi , one of my favourite Bronx.

But, fair enough. No one is going to knock you for doubling your salary elsewhere when your job is at risk with your current employer. It makes the most sense for him.

Just remember, whenever you’re sad about Kodi load up the GIF of him tripping over the signage after scoring a try and you’ll be A-OK!

Farewell Kodi

It all looks as though it's a done deal, except this must be extremely hard after recently having a little one and all their extended family is in Brisbane. To pack up and take that little one to another country would be hard. But it's his career, and he'd be mad not to take a doubled deal.

Sad way to see a loyal guy leave the club. It's a shame our old coach was forcing him to do something that wasn't right for him.

Bring on new halfback.
