Mahoney and Kikau though are in their 2023 cap. To get Mahoney this year they need to move on a couple of decent earners. Not impossible, but it will be difficult.

Eels would be idiots to agree to this. They’ve already made the worlds worst decision by losing Mahoney and then double downed by signing the cooked Hodgson- why would you speed up the process by a whole season.
