Probably better to happen now rather than later in the season. Will happen to all teams during the season unfortunately. Also removes some pressure and not allow the parasites in the media to write sensationalised headlines if he did play and we loose...

Yeah but you know that if, say, Tedesco gets a positive test, the NRL will not only allow the Roosters to borrow Ponga for a couple of weeks, but Tedesco is also able to stay on the field as 14th man and any opponents who come within 1.5 metres of him are deemed to be tackled and must then themselves leave the field for testing.

So we will be looking at a Walters/Gamble combo?

Yuck

Ah, bugger. Ok, we won't be (aren't) the only team this happens to. Talk about testing our depth right off the bat: no Adam, no Kobe, no Flegs, no Tesi. Farnworth?

I guess Gamble likely gets a run now, with Kelly at 7, Walters 14?

It's funny, while I'm glad Mitchell is not playing for Soffs round 1, it would have been interesting to have seen Gamble and him come together. I reckon Gamble would get under the skin of Latrell real easy, maybe set him off, do something stupid. Hopefully not smash someone's face in though.

Also, will Suncorp be good to go in time?

What’s the protocol? Two weeks everytime a player tests positive? Even if they have no symptoms?
Reynolds has mild symptoms, and has tested positive on a Lateral Flow Test. These things have low sensitivity but high specificity, meaning if you test positive, you almost always have it, but negative isn't as reliable. They have it. Sure as ****.

Hetherington and Reynolds will need to isolate for AT LEAST SEVEN DAYS. Returning to training is contingent on returning a negative RAT.

The reality is after this short isolation period they can still be infectious. We have to expect every member of the team to get it eventually, and sooner rather than later if they haven't already had it.

With Herbie and Albert going down last week this isn't a surprise. What will be a surprise is if we can win any games in the next month.

I'm gonna be that guy... Oh well there's always 2023😂😂😂

But in all seriousness can someone create a "luck" stat which combines run against the play bullshit tries, injuries, incorrect/harsh calls and things that would only happen to us?

I hate to complain but seriously this would only happen to us. I cant wait to see how the season plays out and how other clubs suffer through the year. I'm sure it will even out but the last 3 years just feels like we cant catch a break.

As shit as it is, at stages last year both gamble and kelly proved what they're capable of, they'll have a solid forward pack around them and some strike out wide so no excuses.

I doubt we're any worse off than any other team in this regard. Maybe the clubs who had the entire team go down in early January might get through the season without getting it again. Maybe that's an advantage. We're probably middle of the pack in terms of how we've fared to date.

Our biggest concern is all the eggs we've piled up in Adam's basket.

Reynolds having Covid is seriously depressing. I was super keen to see him run out. I haven't been to a game in ages. After a long drive from the Sunny Coast and a late return....it is going to feel extra long if we play like we did against the cowgirls.

Add Tyson Gamble to the list. Apparently he also has to be cleared to return to play.

The bonus in all this is we might get to see Ezra sooner than anticipated.

At this rate we may as well get the blokes who filled in at the Heat.

They got the Heat gig because they work at Intersport and once sold a cricket bat to someone, so I’m sure they’ve kicked a footy around the store a few times when there’s been no customers.
