Never in doubt! 😬

Biggest improvement has obviously been in defence, hitting & sticking, not conceding offloads.

Our attack was pretty lost on the rare occasion we got a shot at their line, often the forwards were getting the ball more than the halves or backs. It looked like we were looking for that link man out the back in Walsh, I think he will sharpen us up a hell of a lot.

Have we ever won a set restart count? Absolutely raped again.

Yup - Cobbo made some errors but defensively he pulled off several BIG tackles, some one on one try savers.

First 2 games last year, everyone was calling for Cobbo to be dropped and he broke the door down on getting selected for QLD.

First game of the year lads - they're going to be bit a bit shit in patches.

Freddy is a numbat but good to see the boys having a good time in the sheds.

Stone cold bunch of lookers, too.

Honestly, the Broncos as reigning champions would be getting pounded about needing to be better right now. Fox is making excuses for the Panthers. They weren't good enough. Broncos were the better team. St Helen's also beat them with grit. Penrith being lucky and confident isn't enough anymore, and they will need to work for it now.

If I had one criticism of the Broncos in the second half, it was when we had a couple of repeat sets and went for the big play through Cobbo. We should have just kept working on repeat sets, not trying to score per se. Work on keeping possession and building pressure to squeeze teams out.

Hard to give a 321 this game most players deserve atleast a point
The good thing is I don't think anyone played anywhere near their full ability. Everyone played well, Reynolds was a genius, but to beat penriff at penriff I thought we'd need a fair few playing their best games of their career. Everyone was just good, but a lot of improvement in them for sure...

- Broncos needs to stop with the first past to a slow forward on the 4th/5th tackle, Freddy was right.
- Their defence has improved from last year.
- Reynolds is a gun.
- Invest the war chest on an elite hooker instead of Fafita.
Dont think you will see an elite hooker till mozer is given a fair crack and its known if he is a bust or not.

Trick now will be getting them up for the cowpats

yep that’s what a full team effort looks like - doesn’t require massive games from single superstars, just everyone doing their job and believing.

that’s the sort of solid foundation that wins you a premiership.

Like how they have the Broncos banner up in front of the Penrith sponsors in the presser. And Kevvie getting rid of the Oak bottles too.
Remember last year when Capewell was filling in as captain, him and Kevvie held up the press conference until they switched out the blue Powerade for red ones 😂😂😂

We just have to be patient, but at this stage he looks more a centre/winger. I would have put sailor in 30 as walsh's back up (similar player) but that ship has sailed and cobbo, though a very different player, definitely can create havoc. It just wasnt his night.
One thing has been shown. He doesnt slip into his shell like a few others there after an error
Very true, the same could be said about Oates. He dropped 2 cold as a spud, got straight back to work and went about his business. The team as a whole, solid, solid effort on effort 🔥
