Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2023

He was framed. Innocent people delete everything off their phone when ASADA ask for it and then go into exporting turtles because that's clearly the next step of an innocent intelligent person.

High Court judge Ian Callinan, was comfortably satisfied Kennedy ordered each of the substances, paid for them, before chasing up the delivery of the substances.

Kennedy became increasing concerned when the drugs were not delivered on time, meaning he had less time to use the substances - bought so he could "increase his size and strength" in the lead-up to the 2013 season.

"Just checking for the fifth time today if that package that I know nothing about is here?"

"No Mr Kennedy not here yet."

Squeaky clean, model citizen that accidentally pays for imported performance enhancing drugs and waits for delivery, but it wasn't him.

What a dreadful series of unlucky events. I wonder how the authorities caught on to it? From what I've heard, Pick Nolitis Pharmaceuticals is a highly regarded institution that runs from the back office of a famous car dealership.

Latest Payne rumour from Craddock, Read, Badel:

So extra $200k next season and $1.1mil a year after that.

That's a pretty good offer IMO if true, if he goes somewhere else for more then so be it.

If he leaves then we know its all about the money and not wanting to be in a competitive team.

1.1 million was my ceiling and it looks like the club concur which I'm happy with. If Haas can get 1.2 mill or above somewhere else then all the best to him, but that sort of contract is an albatross around the neck waiting to happen for whichever club snags him.

I hate it when I am saving an orphan and puppy from a burning building and people put drugs and turtles in my mail.

You hate to see it.

Where did you see this?

Good, sensible offer if true

Walsh will be a long term Broncos player i have no doubt. He has already learned the grass isnt always greener on the other side plus the club finally has a marquee poster child we can bank on. Haven't really had this kind of player since Lockyer retired. Milford tried to be but was a lazy flop

I'd give Haas a time limit on that offer. It is a fantastic offer and we should not go any higher, if he doesn't take it, move on. We will lose a lot if he goes but given our other forwards, even with Flegs leaving, we can cover Payne to an extent and I would absolutely prioritise Mam and especially Walsh over Haas.

Of those off contract in 2024, I'd prioritise them this way:
1. Walsh (not off contract but upgrade him in good faith)
2. Mam
3. Haas
4. Piakura
5. Riki
6. Capewell

I am not including Reynolds because if he is happy to go around in '25, he'll be a Bronco.

If we can re-sign that top 5 along with the fact we've already extended Cobbo, Mozer, Willison and especially Carrigan, we are set for the next 5-10 years to be extremely competitive.

TBH I don't see Capewell even that high on the priority list, we have more talent up and coming in the backrow of our pack than our frontrow IMO. For what he is on it would free up some more money to work with. It's not that I don't rate Capewell, it's just the competition is growing fierce there and we have to think longterm too.

Capewell is almost done on an edge, he should be our starting 13 next year.

I agree with everything except Capewell. Unfortunately he is showing clear signs of slowing down, and with the likes of Piakura and Riki right up his ass for a first grade spot, and Carrigan's leadership inevitably coming with his maturity, our need for Capewell in the squad begins to look real shaky.
