I actually think he offers us much more off the bench. He comes on and provides a lift in intensity.

I'd start Capes a lock. Patty to prop and Piakura in the back row

No, i'd like him not to literally turn his shoulder and lead with it when he makes a run. Its basically a shoulder charge but because he has the ball he gets away with it. Its as bad as the likes of JWH and Tino when they lead with their forearms up. He isnt the only player who does it, but Sooner or later somebody will get a bad injury from it then we will see a clampdown after the fact.

Carrigan knock-on on halfway was also critical.
Unfortunately all the defence in the first half led to fatigue in the second.
It just needed some smart kicking and solid defence to keep Penrith down their end.
Flegs and Herbie will be hard to replace, but that's modern footy.

That one really hurts..
After Mams 3rd we were dominating them, running all over them and I was thinking we've putting more on here and that one loose pass changed everything..
Feel like we didn't touch the ball in the last 20.
Our defence in the first 60 minutes was immense, the only way they cracked us was off a dropout mistake.
This one hurts more than 2015 for me..

'15 scarred the whole team and they got progressively worse each season. Plus we're losing a dally m centre of the year and prop who played the best game of his career in a GF.

Surely next year Capewell starts on the bench. He missed Cleary for one try and is at that age where he is starting to look pedestrian slow.

The one thing I can see different to 2016 is that our best players tonight didn’t blow it the way our best player blew it in 2015. Ben hunt was a broken man and we suffered for years after with Milford and Boyd.

Walsh had a shocker and can only get better. Mam was brilliant and can only get better. Reynolds will need to work on his game management but we know he can do it and he isn’t Ben hunt

One area i really think we need to improve on is our edge back rowers. Piakura isnt consistent enough. Riki and Capes are solid but we dont have one who runs lines well. I do think we need a bit more of a threat in attack from one of them.
