THE BOSS Maguire Stomped The Naysayers! But...8 Months Later, Here We Are.

Lets be honest, Buzz started his players being overworked campaign ages ago even without an official source at the club. Then he has just been beating the drum ever since. I would imagine he has talked to an agent and they have made an off the cut comment about how its alot harder training now than under Kev from what player Z has told me and then he has ran with it to further the agenda.
Agree with that.

And every time he brings it up actual players (Bwaith, Gordon, Mason, Horo, etc.) fire back that if a player doesn't think penrith, storm, etc. aren't training hard or harder than them then they're kidding themselves... it's the bare minimum required if you want to actually compete.

So basically if Buzzed thinks it reflects negatively on Madge then he's pushing the wrong narrative, because it's actually reflecting poorly on the playing group if they are the ones complaining.

Show me a team that isn’t prepared to roll up its sleeves and fight when the going gets tough

I think it's clear that we just do not need to bend packwards or play crazy prices for ANY of our playing group. Only Haas is deserving of overs, but not at the expense of having to carry the rest of the forward pack.

Honestly, try and get Carrigan and others on team friendly deals. Not the other way around.

Spoons and choking big games is part of the playing rosters psyche now. Can get out muscled and out enthused by any team in the comp currently.

It's only Rothfield so far, isn't it?
You probably keep count on these things better than I do.

I just feel the narrative is starting to turn within the Fox commentators etc. still pretty gentle at this stage but there seems to be a bit of a shift

Thing with Fox is they're all chummy with Kev now probably too, so maybe it's bleeding through a touch.

I know Crawley has put out something for FoxNRL today, but it's mostly just regurgitating what Thurston said on nine after the game on Friday.

Crawley is just a mouthpiece for Bennett.

He likely started it because Wayne was playing broncos last week... he wasn't talking much before that.

He also knows he gets clicks from broncos, so will push it whilst it's hot and also whilst Wayne doesn't need him to say anything else

Not really. I only skim the print. I don't watch the talking heads.

I see the side copping flak for various reasons, commitment is the word this week. But that comes with losing. We deserve that.

Gunning for a new coach in Round 11, when the side was completely apathetic at the end of last season, with the same problems as the last season, and assistants he didn't select: that's not something I've seen before.

Seems like Buzz has sand in his vag.

Sadly this is a case of "too much smoke" when it comes to player unrest for it not to be at least somewhat true, especially when it was also so predictable. I also suspect the luxury boat trip on the Harbour was an attempt by Madge to get some back on side.

I dearly hope Rothfield doesn't whip him into being a soft touch. He was hired to be a hard ass, so be a hard ass. Get these cancers out of the squad.

For all his time reporting on the game, Buzz doesn't seem to know much about the success of NRL teams. He was complaining about the training methods and lack of success of the Bulldogs just last year too.

He even said the below:

But if we want to shut the haters up, we just need to play well and win.

Players were whinging to the media in 22 as well. Seems to be a trend.

I'm happy to wait until we have our best 17 on the park together.
Walsh Mam and Hunt at 9 with Mozer.
We are only 10 games in after all.
Incredible to think we haven't fielded our best 17 yet this year, and won't until something like Round 17

I'll be disappointed if Mozer isn't in the 17 this week.
The Paix experiment is done IMO, he had a good start this year but now does nothing Mozer couldn't.
Time to bring in the youth and give him some reps

Plus Billy has been better, so he can keep the seat warm until Bunt is back. But yep, the side hasn't been working, time to give it a youthful injection: Mam, Mozer and Me Kura.
