Does the composition of the "leadership group" tell us anything other than all these players have been captains? Can we assume Madge is onside with them?

1. Reynolds
2. Carrigan
3. Hunt
4. Haas
5. Staggs

What about names like Cobbo, Walsh, Walters, Taupau, Jensen, Arthars?
 
I find it funny that Buzz got really upset that Madge wouldn't listen to his "suggestions"

We're not the Wests Tigers you know ... Hell you'd instantly lose respect for any coach who took Slothfields advice. Said coach would also lose any credibility they had left

Thats pretty interesting, and kind of concerning. Hopefully Madge has changed since his Souths and Tigers days, but from what we have seen and heard so far it's not looking promising.

They make a point about it being the coaches responsibility to be able to get the best out of their players. Not everyone is Sam Burgess or Payne Hass.

Shiba seems to be thriving under him but he is a guy that had one foot out of the nrl and has alot to lose if he doesn't put in the work.

Yea, so the current style might work for players like him, but I guess its not a one size fits all. Gotta tailor your approach a little I reckon.

Probably why man managers like bennett can have such a quick impact on teams (e.g. Souths compared to last year). Dude knows what works with different personalities.

I sure as hell wouldn't.

These media pricks turn on you at the drop of a hat and have no problem twisting your words if it gets them a bit more attention.

Think we have a few getting good money because broncos junior id be happy to let a few walk tbh that are off contract and find some that have a similar drive to be better and aren't afraid of the hard work
 
Lazy, entitled players whinge about actually having to put in effort at training for the first time in years.

Shocker.

If you want to change the culture, this is what’s required. Anyone who isn’t willing to work, can walk. Need to back Madge, ignore the ladder and trust the process otherwise the players win again and they know they can just do the bare minimum and complain and get whatever coach that tries to push them too hard sacked.

Time to draw a line in the sand. I don’t see this as concerning, I see this as flushing out the lazy dead wood that we don’t want at the club anyway.

Sounds like most of Buzzed's bullshit is about the preseason.

Any suggestions he's talking about appears to be regarding some player welfare crap from NFL and EPL... which he was flapping on about in the preseason.

So he's just rehashing the same crap from months ago... bloke doesn't have sources at the club if he's still talking about that

Yea, that was all crap, and you wouldnt expect many coaches to take advice from Buzz of all people. It's the apparent allegations and whatever Madge may have said about what he has had to deal with when joining which was more interesting (if true at all).

I have no doubt there would be at least one player whinging to the media (even through their manager). But how many, or if they are even near the top 17 is unknown. Maybe it was just Tapau lol.
