Who said he cant coach? Are you talking about Cobbo, the second dumbest bronco to Deine Zoolander? He made those comments and then played in a grand final that season, it said more about Cobbo's stupidity than it did about Kevys coaching ability.

The players and coaches backing the approach have all had success, the ones against the approach have all not had 1/100000th of the success lol

I think the biggest element of this is the confusion. This is the same team and personnel that towelled up the otherwise-unbeaten Bulldogs a couple of weeks ago.

For all the underperforming players in the team, you don't get a result like that unless you have the talent there somewhere. Losses and poor performances amplify and highlight our shortcomings, the same way big wins paper over them. So it's not that we're a bad team - it's that we're playing poorly / way underperforming what we're obviously capable of.

There has to be some external factor(s) which is / are causing these swings in inconsistency and erratic performances.

Hard to judge Madge until we know the full story / picture and it's been too short of a time period yet. Maybe he has some grand plan which is taking a while to unfold. Not willing to make a call until the end of the season when we see a full track record. All this will be forgive and forgotten if we're fit and firing into September.

Yeah I was disappointed but it was explainable and the point I'm making is, We had a better start to the season last year with more injuries. So far the team has not improved.

And then they did a review and all the players endorsed Kev and said he was a great coach and they couldn't imagine the club without him and the club just ignored them and sacked a coach they all wanted.

Lol I'm sure there were some criticisms. Ultimately the point I'm trying to make is we have not improved under madge. What more is there to discuss? Worst start to a season since 2021. The year after we won the spoon.

Babe wake up - new hit piece from Gordie just dropped. Not linking it here because f**K NRL360. Basically goes on a rampage suggesting that the players are angry at 'senior officials' because the club leaked the coach review, which was the final blow for Kevvie.

What is CONEHEAD point here? If the player review was negative, then how the **** is that anyone's fault except the players and Kevs?

Seriously his entire crusade around this point is just to do with "jobs for the boys" bullshit. He really doesn't care if Kev was the right fit to coach or not.

Poor old Gordie just can't find a point - just found an excuse to bleat because of Alfie's comments.
 
Just sad that this thread is a legitimate point of discussion 2-3 months into Maguire's tenure. Whether we wanted to keep / liked Kevvie or not, this fact is pretty sad.

Here's hoping the guy can do what is least expected and be able to turn it around.
