FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

It would certainly be different if Mateta and Mbuemo were open to going to a team in a relegation battle.

I think they've done that already and are probably looking at their next step as testing themselves in big European competitions etc.

I like the transfer speculation from bottom half sides though, EPL fans have been far too focused on top 6-8 clubs that it's nice these struggling teams are getting attention.

I wonder what Wolves, West Ham and Everton are up to.

Don’t know why the club bothered with the tour.

None of the players wanted to be there. None of them gave a shit about the game. They did the absolute bare minimum off the pitch and the bare minimum on the pitch until the whole squad was rotated and all of the kids were put on.
you do feel for the players a bit. yeah yeah they get paid millions and all but after a 60 game season the last thing you want to do before a break is **** off to asia somewhere to be paraded around for a meaningless friendly.

but you know, brand recog and all that.

I dont see United signing Mateta and Mbeumo unless they get rid of a lot of players. Those 2 are going to cost 100 million between them.

I'm thinking Calvert-Lewin is a possibility for United.

Bruno’s agent in a hotel until late in the night talking to Saudi reps.

It’s looking more and more likely he’s leaving.

Who can turn down 200 million at his age?

The money is just too much to turn down in Saudi. Stay for 3 years and its all tax free as well. Thats generational wealth.

None of the first team players want to be on this tour and they're putting in **** all out on the field but some of the kids in our side are taking this seriously.

What I've seen from the likes of Kone and Obi, we've got some gems on our hands. I would be looking at sending them out on loan to a Championship team.

Bruno has reportedly said yes to Al-Hilal.

Fabrizio saying they will pay whatever transfer fee we want. United need to take advantage of that.

As much as I hate to lose Bruno, we can't say no to that. We need to bring in players.

You have to laugh at United. In the local news in Wolverhampton, the Cunha deal is now being held up and in jeopardy because after initially agreeing to meet his contract release terms, they now dont want to pay it over 2 years, they want to pay it over 5 again and we are refusing point blank to agree to it. Newcastle now also rumored to have made contact over Cunha.

You would think after losing Delap they would just get this deal done. He seems to want to go there, we want him out of the place ASAP so hopefully United come to their senses.

Romano and all the other sources saying the hold up is that Cunha has to wait for a new visa as he's changing employer and has to get a new one.

Thata nonsense from them. The Visa is a formality. We have a 17 year old Brazilian with barely any first team football behind him who got his no issues, same as Cunha did when we signed him.

Also, he can't apply for a visa unless he has a contract of employment with a club. Its why when we signed him initially we had the deal all done before the window opened. Can't get a visa to work in the country if you don't have a job to go to.

Hope the deal falls through lol

Ha ha. I dont think it will unless United keep messing us around with the payment terms. The visa thing is a smokescreen. South American players since Brexit have no issue getting a visa. Even if for some odd reason he did fail that he can get an elite significant contribution permit to allow him to play anyway.

I really dont see any major issues with the deal happening unless its from United now.

How good were PSG btw. Bloody incredible

Nicely completes the "worst signing of all time" for Barca.

They paid a ridiculous figure to get Ousmane Dembele, unbelievable amount. Now's he's a UCL winner. They didn't even get anything when he left.

It's between he and Coutinho. Probably have to give it to Coutinho actually, given he played a hand in Bayern absolutely destroying Barcelona that year.

Liverpool will be forever indebted to Barcelona for that sale. It's the greatest heist of all time and it basically made us a force again.

Then we slapped them at Anfield a few years later with those players.

Ever heard of Joao Felix? haha

All he needs is a formal agreement with the club. You can apply for a visa up to 3 months before the intended start date provided you have that and a CoS which United would have provided.

Once all the paperwork is filed, it can take up to 8 weeks for it to be approved. Sometimes it can be quicker. There's no set time. Usually it's pushed through very quickly but there can be delays.

If the issue is the deal is in danger because United have reneged on their agreement, I find it odd the UK media isn't all over that. It's the biggest club in England potentially screwing up their biggest signing so far, the UK media would be all over that but I've looked and there's nothing. They have taken the opportunity to sink the boot in every chance they get in the past couple of years but suddenly they're quiet. All of the sources are saying the hold up is the visa.

It looks like it's been approved anyway because the medical is done and he's set to sign the contract very soon. So either way the deal is all good.
