Farewell Ben Talty
The Club would like to confirm the immediate release of Ben Talty who has been offered a full-time contract position with the Brisbane Broncos. Talty first came to the Bears in round 14, 2023 and has been an important part of our Knock-On Effect NSW Cup team ever since. We wish Ben well in his NRL journey

Here's hoping this guy ends up being our version of Hopgood... who was sitting in reserve grades of penrith before eels grabbed him.
He is unlikely to end up as good as Hopgood, but if this guy's traits are being a nuggety middle forward with good leg speed, then here's hoping he is at least our Jazz, Havili, Erin Clarke, etc. that can roll through the middle and create quick ptb.

On Reddit I read something like Burleigh picked him up, but then it goes onto something that sounded like a train and trial, except he would then be full time with the broncos.
Burleigh picking him and him being lined up for a train and trial seemed plausible, but then talking about him already being on the full time roster wouldn't make sense, because that would mean he's basically on a dev deal straight off the bat.
Would also seem a bit odd to move interstate in the middle of the year for a train and trial next preseason.
