I always have, and still do, despise Melbourne - not only for the systemic cheating that they essentially got away with, but for completely ruining the modern game of rugby league.

I don't know about you, but after years of violent floggings (especially at home) and watching spectacles like Kodi Nikorima get out-jumped on the wing for 4 tries and Billy Slater dropping the ball cold before touching it with his foot only for it to be ruled an 'intentional drop kick attempt' and a try, I was definitely scared of playing Melbourne before that finals game in 2023.... And I think our entire team was, too.

But no more.
 
If there’s 1 thing that would forever remain in history books during Kevvie’s era for mine is, flogging those ***** in week 1 Finals of ‘23.

The way we played that game is blueprint to every time we play them. Be in their face every sec & frustrate them.

I think Papalii's best position is probably fullback... but it can't be underestimated how solid Iongi has been.

He's super safe under the high ball, and has enough skill to finish off 3v2's... as well as averaging high run meters.

Papalii has more flash, but they will lose a bit against Reyno's kicking game and yardage meters that Iongi brings.

Moses is the big danger, but he was always coming back for this game.

DBrown being back is a bit up and down, but they play well together, and he brings more than Joash does at 5/8.

Have to figure out a plan for Karapani vs Lomax... Lomax has been getting blocked out of contests all year and getting no penalties... expect that to change on Friday, because broncos.

How about the time they held onto Thaiday in a scrum so they could score down the short side? Try was awarded and Thaiday was suspended for grabbing the refs jersey while trying to demonstrate what just happened to him. Those were some dark days as a Broncos supporter.
 
I will never understand a Storm sympathiser, can only be likened to Stockholm Syndrome I guess. I cannot wait for their decline, even if it takes 20 years.

Let’s not forget they have legalised Tripp dollars for their players outside the cap that no other club is allowed to do. They’ve still to this day never stopped benefitting from their cap cheating.

I never use this line because it’s stupid but if you sympathise with the Storm, well not sure you can be considered a Broncos supporter, so…

Grew up in Western Sydney - has resulted in me particularly disliking Parra (and their fans). Even my anti-Broncos family cheer for us against them.
 
So, who’s up for a short trip to Suncorp this arvo?
Our boys train for an hour @4.30PM & head straight to recovery.

No photographs, autographs or stop by to say hi to fans though.

Just an opportunity to witness how they train.
 
Hopefully a big game from Arthars, thought Mariner did well in his absence. Hopefully a few weeks out have refreshed Arthars and he comes out with intent.
