Yep. Some fans have literal shit for brains.

Also a **** you to the parents who let their kids in with signs begging for shoes, shorts (even I wouldn’t), and other merch. Entitlement is off the charts these days. Requests like that are so weird and cringe
I wouldnt really care if they took the signs... but if parents then complain about not getting the merch then thats where I would class them as grade A dickheads.

Apparently some fans cracked the shits at the open training session because they weren't allowed to get autographs and photos with the players. Apparently there was a "communication breakdown".

In the advertising about the open training session, they literally said that there will be no autographs and no photographs.

Now it's on the Courier Mail website and Maguire has had to respond to it.

Some fans are ****ing idiots. It was right there clear as day on the advertising "The training session is strictly viewing-only and no autographs or meet-and-greets will be possible during this time. After training is completed, the squad will leave the field to attend a recovery session."
Yeah I saw that was the case when I was considering going. It's clear as day what the situation was. You expect this shit from the media cause they want a story from anything but fans can be ****ing thick at times.

There was a lot of clamouring from the kids but that's to be expected. Family and I didn't stick around after the official conclusion (as a number of players stayed out doing extras). Maybe they carried on afterwards? Everything was very respectful and even quite whilst I was there.

Dumbasses for complaining though, get a life.

If I had kids I'd encourage them to take signs that demonstrate support for the team and/or humour rather than demands or requests for free items. Then I'd take them to a team signing thing and we can stand in a line for 4 hours.

Once I was at an Australia vs India one day test and saw what looked to be an 8 year old Indian/Australian (was wearing an India jersey but Australia cap) kid walking around with a sign that said "Indian Batsman + Curry = Runs". I'd want my kids to be that iconic.

I just couldn't physically walk into a venue with my kid (or anyone) holding a sign saying "can I please have your boots Walshy". But I'm not a parent and don't/won't know how hard it is so I should just pipe down lol

Yeah this would be my thought... encourage them to make signs or whatever as engagement and passion for something... but remind them theyre not entitled to anything just because they made a sign.

If they happen to get Walshy's boots good for them... but if not dont come whinging to me or complain to someone about it.

But I'm not a parent either... so I'll just throw barbs from a distance lol

Funny GIF

Nothing you can do about exceedingly stupid people (just a fact of life, and there's ALOT of them), the bigger issue is with the god-forsaken, parasitic mainstream media publication that decided to give these morons a platform, and legitimise and spread a total 'nothing' of a story to the point it requires the coach of the team to make a comment.

Australian media is the absolute worst.

What else pisses me off is every kid at a NRL game that has a poster asking for jersey/shorts/boots always seems to be their birthday…. Stop the bullshit lies

The most shocking part of my prediction is thinking Parra can score.

Your team will probably be flattered I gave them 3 points.
Technically you've predicted that they'll score twice!

I don't know about Jensen off the bench.
I agree - but I think coming back from injury it might be a way of easing him back into it. I'd prefer to see him start and them Willison come on and go ****ing ballistic.

**** sake... how the hell did we end up with that spud
This could be used for any ref appointment. :rofl

This is a must win for Parra to avoid the spoon race. I think we will be up for it after last weeks effort in the cold and daytime - we save our best for Friday nights at Suncorp in Prime Time.

Madge gave everyone time off over the bye weekend instead of working them on the training paddock.

By all reports everyone has come back refreshed and raring to go.

I've heard that before and then the side came out and produced a stinker but we'll see what happens tonight.

Hopefully it works though... based on reports it seems like Madge has done away with the full contact captains run right around the time we've gone on this run and the team seems noticeably fresher during games.

To now give them a big break during the bye could see them come in really fresh for the run home. A guy like Patty absolutely looks like he needs a break and just looks really beaten up this year, so it's good to hear that Madge might be relaxing in some aspects and not looking to gas these guys too early.

I think the only thing that can hold this team back is their own mentality.

If they're looking past this game tonight and think they just need to show up, then they've not progressed at all as a playing squad... if they turn up tonight looking to bash them into the ground, then they should win and it might show a turning of the corner.
