PLAYER Jordan Riki

It just looks to me that riki has a really short running gait so he doesn't generate much power and defenders can wrap up both legs easier.
 
He seems like the type that will take another pay cut just to stay with the club. lol I think we have 2 more years of him before he’s off contract? Can you imagine 2 more seasons (if not more!!!) of this?!! Surely in the off season Madge & Co give him a big kick up the ass because he sticks out like a sore thumb. He has to improve. That bloke that we had in 2023 is long gone. He’ll have a random great game, like he did during the origin period where his running stats were off the charts but then he just reverts back to being slow, predictable, a terrible defender and an error magnet. I just don’t know how we will continue down this road with him because of his great attitude and leading the fitness stats. He’s 25 now , what you see is what you get and it isn’t too great.

Maybe not getting picked for NZ at the end of the year will make him realise his form isn’t too great and he has to improve but I just know they’ll pick him anyway which will make him think he has great form. Ugh lol

Riki is just a 6.5 to 7 out of 10 type player. For what he is I think you can live with it below top dollar. He will occasionally give an 8.5 or so but in saying that he damn well should have scored that try. It was Maranta levels of try fudging.
 
He's been rubbish for years. He gives you the occasional 8 outta 10 that makes you think hes finally worked it out but then goes straight back to his average at best standard. Would shed no tears to see him go lead a kick chase elsewhere.
 
This is Riki's best season - easily. He has never been better than average and I don't think he has the potential to improve much. The fact that he's tall and looks athletic just tricks people into thinking he should be better than he actually is.

The coaching staff (and Riki) have figured out how to at least make decent yardage out of our own end, so that's something to be grateful for.
 
Oh, the Apple version of that turban guy looks a lot more like white headgear lol
