It would set up a first-round clash with Penrith from his finals prediction. Not an ideal match-up so early in an elimination round.
Would definitely rather fourth, but it sure would be nice to knock those ****ers out of the race first up.

- 2023 victory means nothing, we need to focus on how we play this week
- I don't want to let the boys around me down and I just want to do my job to the best of my ability
- Patty takes a lot of pressure off me as well
- I love this club, no regrets not signing with the Storm
- I'm grateful to be a Bronco
- I want to win a premiership here
- It means a lot when your own teammates say you are the best you have played with but I'm not getting carried away with that
- My main goal is to win a premiership for Brisbane, its the thing missing on my resume
- I just block out the noise, I just focus on the present
- Being sick hasn't been ideal but the body is feeling good
- No idea on when Reynolds will be fit, he's just old
- No team has won the comp out of the top four, we know what's at stake
- The forwards need to lay the platform to let Walsh and Hunt shine
- We don't want to leak that many points, we were pretty disappointed with that
- Maguire knows that there is more in us and he was worried we weren't playing our best
- Having someone who cares like that (to spray us) shows how much he cares about the club
- We have to be a whole lot better to match it with teams like the Storm

More likely they would prefer us finishing 5th vs redcliffe finishing 8th... phins first finals, big derby game, packed Suncorp... and then of course phins getting a win... little bro getting one over big bro... all the injuries... what a great story
That means wahs and sharks 4th and 6th... who cares they are just sacrificial lambs to canberra going to a prelim (fairy tale team) and panthers (west Sydney overlords).

- It was always the goal to be in the top four
- This is a really big week
- We thought we were really in it last game until we lost three players
- Getting to the finals will be huge, no team I've been in has even made it, so this is huge for me
- Happy Piaks is back, we have a great relationship
- No chat around contract extensions, I'd love to stay though
- We just need to stick to our sets and if we do, we can go with anyone
- We are treating every game like a final, we want top four
- We need to reduce our errors
- We have to stop giving teams opportunities to get back in it
- Our performance was probably a wake up call

I haven't posted in a little bit, but I am confident heading into this game. Our spine is able to put on plays, even if we take the tries out of the equation, A LOT of opportunities are being made through line breaks and tackle breaks, especially since Mam and Reyno went down.
And I think our mindset should still be attack minded, just prioritise completing a few sets with no errors, since we are able to get roughly 1 linebreak every 6 sets, that can help relieve a lot of pressure on our end. Higher completing also means less defending, more fatigue in opposition, means more linebreaks, that usually lead to tries for us.
Pending Reynolds return, apparently Finals Week 2, I'd keep Billy at 6, Reyno at 7, Hunt at 9, Smoothy at 14.

Wouldn't have thought the 15-8 result - with a controversially denied try to Matt King and sealed only by a late Lockyer FG - was any sort of "beating up", especially of the kind that would push an organization to massively rort the system (resulting as it did with 2 x stripped titles).

One of the few players that literally everyone loves, regardless of the team you support.
There is not a team in the comp that wouldn't empty their cap to get this bloke and he chose to stay with us.
There was a time i thought the likes of SBW and co would talk him into leaving to join the Roosters, there were times i thought he would end up at the Storm and i legit got pissed about it.
I even ranted on here that he should leave when his manager was being a Donkey part way through the season.
But he stayed and i really believe he means what he says when he talks about wanting to win a Premiership with the Broncos.
Once in a generation.

Good.Storm will have their full strength squad. After seeing Bellamy rip them a new one last week I’m not sure it’s going to be pretty this weekend….
Will be a million times more satisfying to flog them at full strength and the confidence on the back of it would be awesome.
