A lot of people who are high on Hunt right now are the same people who wanted him in reserve grade after the game in Auckland earlier this year!

What position was he playing against the Wahs ?
I would have been one of the dissenters . But Hunt at #7 on the right side is a horse of a different colour .

Apples and apples please .....

I didn’t say he kicked well. I said he kicked boring
Reynolds can also kick boring... or he can put up torps and floaters and make it an absolute nightmare night for the fullback.

Or he can nail a 40/20 down a short side

Reynolds kicking game is insanely good when compared to Hunt's vanilla bombs to the corner... but if we needed vanilla kicks to the corner then Reynolds can do that too.

If we end up behind in a game and needing to chase points then it's good to have something more than vanilla kicks to the corner to try and flip the momentum.

In Canberra Fogarty will be peppering our back 3 with torps all night... with Reynolds we can fight fire with fire on that front.

The short dropouts is a weird one that keeps popping up... it's being used across the comp, Reynolds can put them on the spot, but if the receivers aren't able to catch anything or the guys aren't ready for knock backs, then that's a training/coaching/backs issue... the team NEEDS to be better at short dropouts because they're not going away.

In 2023 we were kicking into a massive wind that popped up at the end of that game, so long kicks would only be going like 30-40m... and if Cleary sees that we're kicking long every time then he is able to kick repeat sets all day and we're still not seeing the ball.

It's all very well doing these fancy kicks but the money shot is scoring off them. A goal line dropout is no good to us.

Can someone please install a hyperbaric chamber inside our hyperbaric chamber and get the Xman to move in on a 24/7 basis to get him ready for the finals. I really think if we can get him back for our bench roll we'll win the whole thing.

Yes, Reynold's is a serial choker. Gets his team to the GF and chokes. He's done it twice. Not Ben Hunt. Oh wait...

I don’t disagree with anything you said. Every half dozen games, Reynolds entirely overcooks his kicking game and it runs us into the ground. Admittedly, in between these games he has some of the most freaky kicking ability I’ve ever seen.

This season his bad kicking games, which can be disastrous, have become increasingly more common. Reynolds kicking is Russian roulette, his good games are amazing, his bad games he strongly contributes to a loss. The question is, will he have good games the whole final series or will he choke in another finals series?

Add to that, the risk of mid-game injury and it isn’t a straight forward decision.

Would I rather a good game from Hunt at 7 or a good game from Reynolds? Reynolds, no doubt.

The battle of the chokers !
I`ve called both of them out for it . Hunt started choking very early in his career . I remember him elbowing others out of the way to take a penalty kick for touch and kicking it to the opposition in his 1st few games .
Reynolds is possibly a better defender . But I think Hunt is more threat in attack and throws better short passes .

Old cliche don`t change a winning team ?

A perfect redemption story for 2025: "two former Broncos who came heartbreakingly close to grand final glory for the Broncos have reunited - this time, hungry for revenge."

Well again Reynolds is one of the best when it comes to scoring off kicks to the ingoal evidenced by grubbers through for Staggs and Riki... I think Gos has scored a few off his kicks

I do hope that we look to do more cross field kicks on last inside the 20m.

Put it up there and see if we can snag any of these winger penalty tries... we seem to like running it on last more than anything

Can we turn our centre of excellence into a hyperbaric chamber 🤔🤔

We already have a cross field specialist. I bet he's been practicing this in the park with his old man since kindy:

Really, everyone?

If Reynolds and/or Mam are 100% fit you're not bringing them straight back in? Can't believe what I'm reading. It is a no brainer for Madge. Also, if injury strikes we now have players with confidence in those positions that can fill-in mid game.

We forget we were 2nd on the ladder and 4-1 five weeks into the season with Reynolds and Hunt in the halves.

I'm bringing them straight in, however the luxury we have is we don't have to bring them straight in unless they are 100% fit.

Yes, really.

Perhaps you've forgotten the questions around Reynold's on-field leadership before he was injured. Reynolds was in control right through that mid season slump. It wasn't until Ezra returned that things picked up.

Madge himself was under fire. He won't have forgotten that.

And I don't mean fans, even Denan Kemp was on his case. There's never been a question of his skill set, but we haven't fallen apart in his absence.

We know the Raiders will try and bash us. If we're up for that we have the ability to win it..our forwards have to be up for it.
I think the bookies now have Raiders favourites for the premiership... but the media will play up this game that broncos should come in as favourites.

The forward pack should know exactly what's coming.

Go pack and make them watch round 2 again to show how they were embarrassed in that game.

Hoping the boys come out breathing fire

Walsh's return is what has flipped the form line around for this team.

Ezra was in the dargons loss at home and then the manly game when we got flogged... Reece returned the next week vs titans in the blackout jersey and has gone 9-2 since coming back.

The two losses being parra on the bell and storm when we lost both halves in one play.

In this run we have also gone 4-0 without Ezra.

Any talk that Walsh isn't the most influential player is just incorrect.

We've actually got a better win percentage without Ezra this year than with him... 64% without vs 60% with him... and we are 1-2 when it's Ezra without Walsh (losses to dargs and manly to go with the win vs dogs in Rd 18)
