It doesn't matter when we play, we should be up for it no matter what. Also, it doesn't matter who plays and who doesn't play, it really doesn't. It's simply going to come down to who wants it more. If we want it more, like we did against the Storm, we win. We have the pack to beat them and Reecy is on another planet right now. It's all about the will to win. That Round 2 loss to the Raiders was bad, they out muscled us and we couldn't fight back. We were weak and pathetic. No linespeed, no dirtying of the ruck, we didn't fight fire with fire. The Raiders are very hard edged, they love to get down and dirty, they're fast, agile and strong. They're confident. We must be willing to go to hell and back to beat them. We have the experience. We need the muscle up front. We need everyone to believe. We need to execute. Minimise mistakes but stay laser focused. Hunger. Desire. We have it in us. We will win.

Can't see how that logic is working.. Their draw may have been soft but the finals are a totally different ball game. If they win it all they'll have deserved it and done a bloody.good job..

Raiders are average, storm are depleted, dogs are average and we’re probably the best out of that bunch, which is saying something because we have not played well this year.

Canberra got two tries that game that should have and would have been no tries at any other point in history. Take out those and it’s a coin toss and we didn’t even play very well. We are a much better side now.
That said, people talk about Canberra having a soft draw but it really is clutching at straws. When they’ve played top 8 this year, they are 7–1, you aren’t going to find a better record than that.
They have absolutely gotten lucky a few times including us and the Panthers but you make your own luck sometimes. They have the blueprint side for modern league - experienced forwards not afraid to grub it up, two line running second rowers, a halfback with a massive boot, backs who make bucketloads of metres and are not afraid to take cheap shots and live offside. And the cherry on top, a coach not afraid to whinge.

I actually think we should be favourites from here… storm are walking wounded and the other two top 4 teams are shit.
Whoever wins it 2025 will always have an asterisk for the low quality comp.
