I’ve watched the replay of Rayner smashing him in the last quarter 1000 times now. His stupid head band came flying off. Man I went crazy when I saw that live yesterday.

Not where I live but it isn't surprising in Brissy. No idea why you need to come in and be a bit of a downer though?

I’m not trying to be a downer, you know i don’t mind afl. But I just have not seen anywhere near the hype around the Lions compared to last year, dunno if it’s the broncos or not?

Last year Broncs were not in finals, nothing to talk about with them. This year, they just beat the 4 time champs and made the GF, that's big news. In a league town, its always going to take over.

Brisbane will always be a League city. Maybe the recent success of the Lions might start change that.
I work at the Westfield in Chermside, they have buses running from there to Suncorp and the Gabba and on gamedays there's always a lot more Broncos fans than Lions fans.
We have a few bars there as well and Saturday afternoon was packed, but there were more people there for the Broncos game than what there was for the Lions game.
So it's not surprising that the Broncos win has overshadowed the Lions GF win.

The Lions have been amazing but I reckon the City needs a Broncos Premiership a lot which would explain the media coverage and support right now.

Ahh yes I forgot you were a Hawks supporter, there it is. Just kidding, I'm just so over the moon to be a Lions supporter because while your team looks like the next one to rise, we aren't going anywhere for years to come. Good luck to any team beating the Lions next year. Even injuries clearly can't stop us.

Lions and Broncos into the GF same year? My mum swears it happened but obviously it didn't. What is she thinking of though? Were the Lions close in 06 or one of our premiership years?
