POST GAME [PREMIERS, 2025] Broncos vs Storm

Adrenalin still high. Hardly slept.
This side is absolutely phenomenal.
But more importantly, for all the shit talking, rockstar jabs and hate these boys ARE WINNERS!

Just rewatched the match.
The redemption storylines are something else.
Walsh. No words. Best GF effort ever.
Dozer gets his career closure
Reynolds leads this group to the top
Haas and Patty. So deserving.
Name a better wing duo than Karapani and Mariner... I'm waiting.
X-man would start at every other club
So happy for Billy
Kobe Hetherington superb stint
Madge and Trent Barrett... who would’ve thought!

We are champions.

A few things I can't get out my head.
How were the cheats able to stop the game and then lodge a challenge? And how was Ezra's whack to Stefano's shoulder deemed high?
How did Piakura manage to finally beat an HIA?
How did the touchies miss some blatant forward passes all game and the only one they called was Walshy's pass for a try?
What was Hughes doing lying in the ruck trying to milk a penalty when there was not a single hand on him - what a tool?

What was Mariner doing tip toeing down the line before that put down? I still get a cold shiver thinking about it.

How wrong are some of the player ratings for our guys? they had mariner on a 7 out of 10. Get ****ed!!!!

And finally, was Brad Clyde commissioned to do the CCM well before the final thinking the faders would be there?
Otherwise why not have somebody like the King for us and a storm cheat for them on standby to present the CCM.
Brad Clyde just seemed a bit bizarre.

So at the end there.... Piaks was on the bench, I suspect a forced HIA for the hit from Leiro?

That means, we had ARey (torn calf), Benny (Cat 1), Piaks (HIA) and Karapangi only JUST came back on the field from his HIA in the dying seconds. Were we without a bench for a short time there at the end?
Lost an interchange when Willison came off for HIA . Wasn't called HIA apparently.

Just so damn happy for Ben Hunt. Ten years ago we wouldn’t have made the grand final without him. He went through years of internal hell after that loss. Fast forward to 2025 and i think it’s safe to say we don’t make the grand final this year without him either. Even when Reynolds went down in the gf, I felt confident that ben was there.

that really pissed me off. challenges are only allowed in a break in play. There was no break in play since we were entitled to play the advantage.

bringing it back to play the original knock on, just to allow the Storm to challenge borders on match fixing.

there is a very good reason Atkins and the touchies were booed during the medal presentation

Walsh is 23. Man is 22. Haas is 25. Carrigan is 27. If Broncos can lock these boys up and they all stay hungry to win premierships Broncos is in a phenomenal spot for many years to come. Madge has completely turned around the club in just one year, I don't want to get too crazy with predictions but I really can't see why this squad wouldn't go back to back/ dominate for multiple years if they stay hungry for it. Time will tell

We also had a pretty horror run with injury this year as well. We had Mam for what, 10 games throughout the regular season? Arey, Hunt, Walsh, X, etc were injured at stages. Any other club wilts with those kind of injuries.

If we get a raiders or panthers like run with injuries then we should dominate next year.

When does the 18th man get activated? I was confused on how Jesse didn’t get to play?

like everyone else, I’m so happy right now.

But, can we please temper our expectations for next year and beyond. I remember after the 23 loss there were so many people on here saying we were certainties to make the next 5 grand finals and win them all because of our young squad.

And when they erect a statue of Walshy at Lang park (and they eventually will) they need to ensure it's struck in that superman pose as he scores that miraculous try in the GF.

When chin scored that try against us in 23 the commentators be like "I don't think we'll ever see a better individual try" Reece be like "hold my beer".

If we ever see a better try than Walshy's try of last night I'm sure it will be the great man himself bettering it.

Walshy's toilet water will sellout in hours when it eventually hits the shops.

It all comes down to how much the players want to go back to back. History shows it’s a very difficult thing to do. Our last month of football was so supercharged emotionally, it’d be hard to back up from that.
