The Storm Hate Thread [Official]

Our terrible record against the Storm can be summed up simply. The Storm have been a top 4 team for most of the past 20 years, whereas we have been much less consistent (to put it kindly).

When we've been genuine premiership contenders we've done as well against them as anyone.

There was perhaps a time in the mid-2000s when there was a genuine hoodoo, but that's not the case with this current crop of players.
I think you’re right about the Storm. Their problem is they have no extra gear to go to at finals time when other teams do.

The Storm are coming back to the pack. They had some generational players in Inglis, Smith, Slater and Cronk in a great system. Now they have great players in a great system but Hughes, Paps, Munster and Grant are a class below.

I think the best part for me was watching Coates get bundled over the side line to kill any chance they had. It was so cathartic. It would have destroyed him inside what happened last night, so great.

If you wanna know why they are hated, Dobbo is saying Storm are not happy with Atkins policing of the ruck speed.

Far quicker than ours, we are well above the average the refs are apparently advised to work towards, and they are the ones complaining. 😂

I get sour grapes, and they're obviously going to try find something, but ruck speed is what they go for?

Plus Hughes and Munster are both getting old and rely on their running game more than other older halves (their running games will fall off and they don’t have elite kicking like Cleary, Moses, or Arey to make up for it). They need to make a brave call on one of them and get Pezet into the halves long term before another side snaps him up. Papi is also a shadow of the player he was a few years back.

They have big issues looming, especially when Bellamy calls it a day. I’m going to love every second of the fall.

That was tame
I almost broke my hand I slammed the kitchen bench that hard in joy
The kids were both woken up to much to the missus’ anger 😂😂😂😂
Pretty sure the neighbours two streets over knew precisely how I felt about that moment. 19 years of pent up frustration, disappointment, sadness and finally jubilant victory unleashed in my tv room.

I don't really disagree with any of that except about Paps, he was pretty great last night for them.

Yup even at a step slower compared to his prime, he was one of the few looking capable of breaking our line.
Also, I know this is a hate thread (and I certainly aren't going to start a love thread), but when Hunt started stumbling around after the head knock, paps went straight up to help him even though we were attacking their line. That made it a bit harder to hate him. Just a bit though.
