Walsh will need to have a few more years of being clutch.

That was his absolute peak amd it was ridiculous, but trying to even nail down Lockyer's peak performance good luck.

His composure and clutch to win so many games is next level.

He nailed game winning field goals like he was doing it on the training paddock.

Right now he's better than Lockyer and Langer ever were, and that's no small compliment.

I wonder if Buzz is also a bit of a wanted man at Redhill because of his persistence in attacking Ezra and bringing his crap back into the media again and again.

Buzz has had the right to dish shit on Ezra all year long. Most punters are probably sick of reading about it now but Buzz has some sick obsession with it and is trying to keep the story alive.

The biggest issue I have with Buzz was contacting the victims of the crash and releasing the story on Grand Final day...

I mean honestly, Buzz should cop every bit of shit back from the club for that reason alone.

Agree, although langer and locky were pretty ****ing good at putting the team
On their back and doing ridiculous things when it mattered. Lockyer had the elite speed of Walsh too before his ACL injury.

haha yep. I went back and watched them for the first time. Still sucks a bit but then I think "oh well, we're the champs now".

100% this. I hope the narrative doesn't become that we just kept getting away with it with all of our wins at the death - we absolutely earnt every one of those victories.

We played the long game and it paid off in spades.

I think it was the fact i was able to witness just how many times the ref gave the storm opportunities to snatch it right at the death but we still held on to deny him and the storm. I mean that tackle on Uit (the door) where he knocks on into Walshy's head and Shiba makes a break upfield. Arkin is calling a knock on by Melbourne you can hear him plain as day. So it should have been play on. Why did he stop play and then allow Melbourne to do a challenge? That needs explaining to me.

Also the bunker then says Ezra does a high tackle. Again, it's plain to see he hammers Uit (the door's) shoulder and his head buckles with whip lash. It was not even close to a high shot.

Anyway, despite all that bullshit it was a truly epic finish from our boys when you consider just how dis-jointed our defensive line was. Sure we had 13 players in the line but there were so many filling in positions that melbourne should have been able to waltz through.

That was some effort to hold them out for so long.

After watching this a few times the only thing that I can think of is he stops play after the Shiba break because old mate is down milking the head contact.

Agree that it shouldn't have been a penalty, even Brandy said "tough call" on the fox call and we all know how much he like us.

Locky was safer than Walsh. But I'm not sure safe would've won us this premiership.
