It doesn’t matter if we were the best team, or luck shone on us. We won! This is the beauty of being a fan. We can enjoy this! Yes the coaches and players need to worry about complacency. They need to know that next year that won’t be enough. But not us, we get to just enjoy it and haven’t we earned it with the heartbreak we went through in 2015 and 2023. There’s no asterisk next to those titles saying “but the broncos deserved to win”. I checked!

You could look through most premiers and find they had some luck. In 2006 would we have seen the finals game breaking of Hodges at fullback and Berrigan at hooker if Hunt and Ennis didn’t get injured?

The great Panthers dynasty could have not been quite so great. If Herbie doesn’t fling the ball haphazardly at 16 points up and keeps it glued to his hands as he had done exclusively in his career until that point. If Luai hadn’t gotten hurt does Cleary find himself on the left for that decisive try.

In 2021 Cleary and Mahoney are struck with similar shoulder injuries. Cleary’s is able to be rehabilitated but Mahoney needs season ending surgery. Parramatta meet Penrith in sudden death and lose marginally with Ray Stone making some poor decisions at hooker. If Mahoney is there does the dynasty end there and then? In the grand final Murray finds himself in the clear at the death but there’s no support. Would a competitor like Latrell have willed himself there if he was available for selection?

So you just have to ride the luck and enjoy the spoils when they come. We should know better than most that you don’t know when it will happen again.

Best part of the guy with the cowbell was everyone down the storm end yelling broncos instead of Melbourne . Eventually about halfway through the game half the stadium got in on it

What about 2016. Will Chambers passes inside to Cronk unmarked, Storm win.

2022, Moses' pass in the prelim gets called correctly forward. Cows are in the GF, and present a different challenge to Penrith.

We had some luck for sure this year, but we also were the worst side for penalties and six agains gainst. I almost stopped watching the game due to he 6 agains earlier this year.

We also had legit the toughest finals run I can remember.

We lost both halves a month before finals.

None of it matters now. We won.

Enjoy it.

How funny would it be if we signed there star up and coming Halfback. Would be an all time dacking to go from Grand Final win into this in the space of a month. Not to mention a month earlier we broke there halfback going into finals.

There was a moment where I felt that their own-fart-sniffing might come back to bite them. On their podcast they were talking about their shocking conversions the week prior, can't remember who it was against, but if they made the kicks they would have won. Anyway, they were due to play the Tigers and Paps said that he would be 'sure to bring all of his tries under the posts', or something to that effect, so that all of their tries were easy to convert.

Any other club's superstars saying that and there is a hit piece in the DT. But their arrogance just kept building, and I thought maybe to their detriment.

Greatest night of my life.
