Haas - Hopefully re-signed but also upgraded

Pezet won’t be on a heavy wicket though. He has 4 years of first grade now. He won’t be resigned again till he is 26-27 years of age. He has achieved nothing in the game he can’t be on anything ridiculous you wouldn’t imagine.
I think it throws a minor spanner in the works but at the same time Hunt, Reyno, Hetherington, Cobbo. That’s a lot of money and the only signings have been Pezet for 27 and Anderson next year of any real note. Haas due an upgrade (nothing beyond 200k if that), Walsh I believe increases year on year still. I think Carrigan after 100k extra or so as well. There’s some wiggle room without panic stations. I think there’ll be one player we lose. Tactically I think we should just let Shibasaki go through to the keeper (off to someone else). Love him but we will have Mariner wanting to play centre, Verhoeven coming through, Anderson in the squad, with the carrot of a starting spot Arthars wouldn’t be to difficult to convince to stay. Mozer and Bukowski are still a decent way off a concerning upgrade in dollar terms.
Shouldn’t be to bad. Just need to keep on top of it. Pezet doesn’t throw things to out of whack imo, great signing.

Yeah I know but there will always be a back up halfback we can find somewhere. Duffy or Black might stick around anyway.

We have to have a squad of 30 so all those you say to let go need to be replaced with someone. If you're implying that we just replace all of them with minimum wage guys to free up money, then our depth will be non existent and is what won us the premiership this year. However, our depth was crazy this year and can be partly put down to good coaching from Madge so maybe we can spend more on our top 17 and just hope we get lucky with injuries and have some good cheap guys as back-ups.

Anasta has confirmed the deal on radio down here this morning. Said a multi-year offer from Parra was significantly more money than Brisbane offered, but Jonah was persuaded and impressed by Madge's pitch on signing with Broncos.
