We certainly outplayed them. I think we changed the status quo. I credit Kevvie for developing the attacking confidence and Madge for sticking with it but adding a hard edge. Walsh is a rollercoaster but was always given the opportunity to chance his arm under both coaches. I think our win changes things. Our X factor players with a bit of hard edge around them is a chink in the armour of the grinding teams that have dominated.

With Ash Taylor, was he loaned to the Titans, and never came back?
I can't remember how he ended up their. I can't really remember his game. I think he had issues with his hips, and retired very early into his career.

Bosnich is clearly applying an EPL lens and transfers to the discussion. He talks mostly about Galvin and SBW. SBW did have to pay a fee to the Bulldogs.
You did used to have to pay transfer fees. Brisbane clubs would put fees on players to go to Sydney, so they were compensated.
He played Harold Matts in 2019- Under 16, no football in 20 and was at the Storm by 2021.

I am not against the idea, but the issue is things are so murky now with scholarships. Payne was at Titans and Warriors before Broncos. Made his debut at the Broncos so if someone was going to sign Payne do they pay all three or just the Broncos?
Even junior clubs are hard; players move here from New Zealand now at 16 to go to school- if Verhoeven leaves do you pay the Bears or Eastern Eagles or again both?
If you make it from NRL debut club that is a dis-service to everyone else that put in work.

imo he doesn't stay here more than 3 years, because I think he is a good player and will get too expensive for us to keep and with the way we play we don't need an elite 7 whilst we have Walsh.

I just hope we don't toss Black, his kicking game is elite and yeah the half back apprenticeship is much longer than other positions so he can't expect much playing time for the next few seasons but I do think he gets the 7 full time after Pezet gets too expensive for how we play.
