OFFICIAL Payne Haas to depart Broncos at the end of 2026

Super weird if true.

Leaving for a life-changing payday in R360 is one thing, even leaving to go to European rugby on huge money you might be able to understand.. but leaving the premiers and your home / family in Brisbane to go to an absolute rabble team is strange. How much more can they really be paying him?

I thought he'd already extended for a year? I think we're all a bit numb to Payne Haas news because so much shit flies around. Souths is a strange option for him that's for sure. 😂

So let's just assume Haas is gone at season's end

that will give us about $1.2 million per year to spend.

We have a ready made starter to replace him in Willison. So i'd be spending that money on a quality bench prop and strengthen the second row. we may have a little left to top up Willison.

here are the props/ backrowers off contract at the end of 2026

None of them particularly interest me. Need someone to drive standards. Shieeeet.

Just released.

I've never seen a team announce a signing like that while in the 10 day cooling off period.

with the exception of Bruno Cullen announcing the Inglis acquisition before he had even signed the bloody contract
