OFFICIAL Adam Reynolds to retire at the end of 2026

Dobbo with massive news on Nein that will further shock the club to the core - Adam Reynolds to announce this season is his last! Damn, didn’t see that coming! 🙄

Disbelief No GIF

Reyno has announced 26 is his last year.

We've got articles already saying its a double whammy of bad news etc for Broncos today.

Whilst Haas was a bit of a shock, moreso as the news just dropped out of nowhere today, Reyno leaving/retiring at least imo is the furthest thing from a surprise. In fact, glad he got the announcement out of the way now so its not a constant discussion through the season.

Has anyone heard the rumour that Hass had to leave as the NRL forced our hand as we are/were over the salary cap? Supposedly there are screenshots going around. Apologies if this has already been spoken about.

Reynolds retiring is the news I think
He has said a few times how interested he’s going to be to get into assistant coaching at the Broncos. I feel as though we need him where he is for the next 12 months. I just don’t feel like we’re quite ready to let him go yet?

Would hope that Reyno retiring means he moves straight into being our halves coach next year... to me that was always one of the big end goals of him coming to broncos.

You'd think Fox or Badel would have been all over this by now if they thought it had even a shred of merit

Weird timing on Reyno considering Haas’ bombshell today.
I actually think it’s a relief that Reyno will retire at the end of 2026, and something I think we were all expecting. His body is failing and had he signed another extension for 2027 I think that would have been at the detriment of him and the club. Pezet was signed on the terms he will have the 7 in 2027 and from what Braith has said, we got him cheap.
I wouldn’t be shocked if we see Hunt now extend for 2027, which I think would be a smart decision for all involved.
Sheesh we will have some $ for 2027+

Might be coming out with the season launch tomorrow... gives them a chance to talk about Reyno during the launch, etc.

If he said he was going around again next year I would have serious concerns about broncos retaining him as a halves coach moving forward.

Every chance skeletor gives him a bell for a swansong at Souths... suddenly he's down in Sydney reminiscing and are we able to get him back up to Qld.

Hopefully all the talk about his family being settled are true and he's our halves coach for the next 2 decades... teaching all the halves that come through how to kick and manage games.
