OFFICIAL Adam Reynolds to retire at the end of 2026

Firstly, it's hardly a double blow. The Reynolds retirement was not only expected, but planned for. (and the Payne loss is upsetting but manageable)

Secondly, Reynolds won't be lost to us. I have zero doubt he'll be offered damn near any job he wants at the club next year, it is likely the club and Madge already have plans for Reynolds to continue working with our halves and Walsh as an assistant coach ... in fact i'm pretty sure there was something along those lines in his current contract with us.

I don’t think anyone other than the media sees this as a blow for us, and we know how stupid they are.

Haas on the other hand is a massive enough blow on his own they should just focus on that.
 
Saw the lede, and was relieved he’s retiring immediately. More useful as a mentor at this stage. Nothing to see here.
 
Sounds like Reyno has confirmed 2026 will be his last.

Will say he's been one of the most influential signings we've made in years when considering where we were when he signed compared to where we are now that he's finishing up.

Before Reece got here and even whilst Reece was finding his feet Reynolds was our most influential player... and he was still able to take over games and win them on his own even last year, specifically in the first half of the year when Reece was quiet and Bhunt was struggling to fit in at 6.

I will be watching Parra very closely and hoping to see Pezet bring an elite kicking game... although that might be hard sitting next to Moses.

Reynolds kicking game is absolutely elite, but the club has probably done the best of their ability to replace it. Walsh's kicking has also improved, but not yet as polished or required to kick in bulk like a Lockyer was doing from fullback.

Will be very happy if the club can now lock Reyno down as a halves coach moving forward and if so there's potential that we'll have one of the most prestigious places for young halves to come in the league

That podcast Kent is on "Broncos rocked to the core", because a bloke off-contract is electing to pursue his career somewhere else.

Nobody was saying "Fox Sports rocked to the core" when Paul Kent got his head caved in after a drunken display.

Because no one cares about Kent or Fox. If there was literally any alternative way to watch every game each week, they’d go out of business.
