Can someone remind me when, if ever, Ben Dobbin had good mail?
Pretty sure every premiership team prior to 2025 didn't have Payne Hass So it can be done.
Bennett's mouth pieces have already put out in the media that "Haas left ‘furnace’ for Bennett"
Yep, I’ll back him this year but I’ll boo him and his shit team in ‘27.I want Souths to win the wooden spoon when Haas gets there.

I think I read yesterday they’re going to extend him till end of ‘28, so that ends speculation of him joining PNG. I assume they’re extending him to make sure Payne stays. But surely that can’t be the only clause…Apparently Haas also a Bennett get-out clause.
If Bennett is no longer at the club Haas becomes a free agent.
Bennett's current contract ends end of 2027.
That’s Wayne looking after Wayne.Apparently Haas also a Bennett get-out clause.

These guys are only interested in making Bennett look good. The can start here and then spin it into "After going through another one of Michael Maguire's torturous pre-season's, Payne had had enough. The hardest trainer and best leader the game has even seen finally could not do it anymore, his body broken, his soul crushed he had decided to walk away from the game while he still had the strength. If not for the greatest coach of all time, the game would have lost it's greatest player ever. While he took some convincing, Wayne Bennett was able to convince Payne that he could have much easier pre-seasons and enjoy some of Wayne's legendary cuddles and still win premierships, and just like that the game was saved and a man was reborn".In fact prior to 2025, the number of wooden spoon teams with Payne Haas exceeded the number of premiership teams with Payne Haas.
This doesn't make Haas look great though, so it's an odd spin.
Everyone thought of JT(Tamulalo that is) as a player that will stay dominant for his entire career. Contrary to that thought, he has been a shadow of himself the last few years.I don't get wishing Haas all the best. I hope he is great this season and then falls of a cliff thereafter if he goes. I don't wish him well as a player at all, hope he becomes a shadow of what he's been for us. I only want Broncs players to do well.
Has to be the dollars offered surely. He's always prioritised money, maybe when he saw the amount he just immediately thought "yep, that'll do for me".
Coward move for him to tell the boys via WhatsApp - pathetic
That's true, I understand it's hard to get them all together. I would have hoped for a group whatsapp call with the leadership group at the least. Show your face, Payne.I agree it doesn't look good, but once he made his decision the next time they're all together is the launch and then airport- neither of them are ideal to make an announcement either.
I think he wanted them to know straight away, if it had leaked out on Sunday before he'd seen them on Monday it looks worse.
It's funny how the media and souffs fans are quick to forget they have no spine lol.
Yet they are now somehow premiership heavyweights with the addition of payne. Must have short term memories, a prop will not win you the premiership.
I think he’ll be fine behind Patty and Willison and whoever else we may buy with that money, but you keep throwing speculation out there.Anyone done a welfare check on Jonah? As a seven, Payne would have been a big reason I wanted to come to Brisbane and play behind him.
Payne was a seven's dream.
No doubt it's a bit of a shock to him. That said I think linking with Mam and Walsh is the real draw card.Anyone done a welfare check on Jonah? As a seven, Payne would have been a big reason I wanted to come to Brisbane and play behind him.
