Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2026

Apart from contract timing, it's a pretty big risk to sign Flegs right now until you see how he comes back from being out injured for 2 years
agreed but im also not happing with us chasing barnett. Isnt he also coming back from a serious injury.
not as bad as flegs i know but still.

Also i still hate that we have to go chase NSWelshamn

I doubt Flegler would leave Dolphins after being on a milly while being busted for so long, but we should absolutely try get him back.

The Eels have made a 3 year offer for Barnett. Worth $900k per year

The CM reports that "It’s understood Broncos teenage sensation Antonio Verhoeven, Eels utility Jordan Samrani, Dragons flyer Tyrell Sloan and Manly speed demon Jason Saab have been discussed as possible Warriors transfer signings."

I can't see that being correct, Antonio was upgraded last year until 28 and has just played Cup out of school and could have played Cup last year in Year 12.

They're only linking him because he's a Kiwi.

He's a great ask by the Warriors if they have asked but Scanlan will laugh at them. Nearly as bold as the Tigers asking for Walsh to release Walters.

Hearing the eels are offering 2.6 over 3 years which is like 865 a year and obviously blows our 750 out by a bit, but do you think he’s guaranteed more off the cap with us due to third party agreements?

If he wants to potentially win a comp he'll come here for a slight hair cut (which isn't really that much of a hit once you take cost of living and TPAs into account), if he wants cash he'll go to Parra. I thought Parra had enough 30+ year old middles on their books, apparently not

When they say "discussed", they mean they discussed it in the Courier Mail office before they printed the article.

Maybe Paulo retires

I don’t even know why the Warriors think they’re in a position to ask for a player in return.

When push comes to shove, in circumstances like this, if the player is begging for a release, they’ll get it.

This is where the sobering reality of trying to get players in return for a compassionate leave for a 32 year old who is coming off an acl hits the Warriors. Who do they realistically think they will get there hands on that is worth the cap hit or that they otherwise wouldn't have been able to recruit at that level?

They can discuss Nio all they want, but they are zero chance of getting him.

Whichever AI account created that rumour is just looking for kiwis and plugging them in

I think willison will surprise people with how decent a replacement he will be for hass. Especially after another season under his belt.

When he has had to play bigger minutes, he has generally not disappointed. I think it makes greater financial sense to replace willison's spot on the bench than try and sign another starter.

What we need are second rowers. Like, 3 of them.
