That stupid WCC game continue to screw us over. The after effects of it are still there. Wonder whose idea was to go there for that nonsense match. I hated it.

Exactly.

Can you think of another sport on earth where game-altering officiating calls are made so often and so casually with so much discretion, so little consistency, zero chance to review, confirm or understand and no consequences when the calls are incorrect.

It's not a sport anymore, it's just an 'entertainment spectacle'
 
I don't feel so bad now. Just watched one of the Parra second rowers on the Sunday footy show and when asked about 6 agains he said he had no idea why they were given at the time and that they are told after the game. So a guy 10-20 m from the ruck doesn't know why 6 agains are given so how in the world would any fan watching the game possibly know.

Moving the 6 again zone back to the 20 m mark has been a disaster and has led to a heap of blow out scores. I know this round when I watch games I have started turning the game off at the 60 minute mark when one team is getting all the 6 again and penalty calls and the other side is out on their feet.

My big hope is that after PVL gets us a big TV deal he goes back to horse racing and the NRL come to their senses and ditches the 6 again rule completely.

Like how hard is it? Hold the ball, don’t drop it, and do tricky stuff only when you’re in front?

What am I missing about this great game of ours?

All those things are associated with having the ball... the dumb shit they do is on the other side when they don't have the ball.

Even IF we do all the things you mentioned, you’re missing the hound racing mf and his sidekick

No amount of great footy can win you games. These mf will control however they want.
 
Ourback row options are that putrid, I'd consider Staggs or even Shiba moving to backrow, and bringing Anderson into the side.

Mam should have been hooked mid game last week, and I think he needs to spend time in QCup and prove he will actually put effort in defensively. He doesn't offer enough in attack to defend like he does.
 
I see Arthars is now also on the list of players pulled from cup today.

Think we might be a chance of seeing some changes come TLT

I’m not trying to downplay Ezra’s defensive performance but he had no help at all from his back row partners.
 
we've got a soft as **** run after this game... madge is lucky, would have had the blow torch on him otherwise... though the way we've been playing may not be good enough.
