PLAYER Adam Reynolds

It's not a coincidence folks.

It's an unpopular opinion but we're better off without him on the field.
We shouldn't want him to announce an immediate retirement.

He's already finishing up at the end of the year and even if he just takes it easy this year and sits on the sidelines, he's still insane backup to have.

If we keep winning with Bhunt then he'll sit tight and wait for the ribs to be right... if something happens then he's ready to go.

To be honest the time when we'll really need Reyno is through origin when Reece, Payne, Patty, etc. are in and out of the team.

IMO the problem is with Walsh's mindset.

take what he said after the game tonight. He feels he needs to take on more responsibility when Reynolds is out ... he needs to play the same way whether it's Hunt or Reynolds at halfback.
And I don't think Reynolds has any issue with getting Reece the ball... he played as a cog in the bunnies system for a decade.

He'll be back next week.

This. Walsh can still own the team with reyno at HB, it’s on him to take the reigns.

I think were missing the real problem here. Mam is the issue not Hunt or Reynolds. He looks lost and devoid of answers. We have carried him for the first 3 games and him improving his defence this game surely cant make things ok, when he's meant to be a play maker. The only thing i saw from last night that helped was Walsh could see how bad he was and so injected himself into the game more in the second half.

have to disagree. he adds so much in attack when the team is on. Which we saw a glimpse of tonight. He gets confidence out of his defence and 2nd half tonight showed he is getting there. Stick with him...next 3 games he will light it up

We will have to agree to differ on that.

HIs defence was not better last night. Again he was at 6s and 7s when defending and his indecision contributed to both of melb's tries. He was missing quite a few tackles again including one where chan almost scored again in the 2nd half.

The saving grace was that for some reason melb just stopped attacking there, and field position to punish his defensive errors disappeared when we held onto the ball. Teams like panthers will not go away from that, they will attack his edge again and again if he does not sort it out.

Mam is a husk of the player he was in 2023. His key skills then was his anticipation (he just seemed to pop up around the ball), support play, kick chase and running game.

He is rarely up supporting players any more. Last night carrigan had his arm free right near the line and had mam been pushing up where he should have been, it would have resulted in a try. His runs now are one off the play the ball and a straight line run, no jink or tackle break and a slow play the ball.

Given the money he is on, and the faith brisbane showed him during his driving incident, i am dissappointed.

Mam was a Cleary master class from winning the Clive Churchill medal in the ‘23 GF. He was probably top three in the GF last year. A player like this who has stood up in two GFs, you’d be stupid not to stick by him through a rough patch.

There's also been a quad injury mentioned many times regarding Ezra and he was padded up deluxe last night at one stage when the camera showed him after a hit. Padding on the front of his body. He may not be completely right.

i completely agree. We are wasting cap by keeping him now. For some reason he has just lost it and a few Milford like moments, dont justify keeping him. We will get killed next year with him and Pezet as our half's.
