PLAYER Adam Reynolds

i completely agree. We are wasting cap by keeping him now. For some reason he has just lost it and a few Milford like moments, dont justify keeping him. We will get killed next year with him and Pezet as our half's.
I honestly think he has been bad but remember he played in his part in winning a grand final judge him after round 10

We need Reynolds the halfback but not Reynolds the on field leader. He's not the guy. He can help but we need Walsh and Mam to own this team
💯 .. Adam Reynolds has earned a pretty special place in Broncos folklore for helping to ‘raise the Titanic’ but, and I’ll die on this hill, he’s not a particularly convincing club leader imo..

I’m really looking forward to Pat Carrigan becoming captain from next year.. I think he’ll a very strong, natural leader on and off the field.. And as we all saw last year, Walsh seemed to thrive when there was a bit of a leadership void that needed to be filled ..

Milford nearly won us the 2015 final and what happened after that nothing. We were in the wilderness until they got rid of him. I can just see that happening again if we are not careful. Id loved to be proved wrong.

he was also great in 2016

I think were missing the real problem here. Mam is the issue not Hunt or Reynolds. He looks lost and devoid of answers. We have carried him for the first 3 games and him improving his defence this game surely cant make things ok, when he's meant to be a play maker. The only thing i saw from last night that helped was Walsh could see how bad he was and so injected himself into the game more in the second half.

Played off the bench because he had a dodgey calf .
Then this week has different 2nd rowers on his side and a different half back .

He`ll be OK give him another couple games before you sharpen that axe Eugene .

If he's playing injured like Walsh was last year, then i would love to be proved wrong when he's fit again But he will have to play like Walsh did when he came back for me to be convinced was physical and not mental.

You could see it in 2023 that Reynolds was not the guy.

Can't have someone sticking up for the players on a show like that. Gives them nothing to talk about. You can see they've leant more into journos and loud ex-players than current players over the years.

Badel reporting that before we made the decision to go after Reynolds, his manager approached the Titans but they had zero interest in offering Reynolds a contract.

Reynolds Manager Steve Gillis said

“I won’t name the people that we spoke to at the Titans, but we just couldn’t get any interest from them,” Gillis said.

“If we had serious discussions and the Titans were in a position to make a reasonable offer, absolutely Adam could have been a Titan, but it never took off.

“When Souths had said it was a one-year deal, we decided to look at all potential destinations, and the Gold Coast was at the top of the list.

“It was actually before the Broncos were interested.

“Right from the beginning, I said to ‘Reyno’, ‘Where do you want to play?’ He said, ‘Gee, I wouldn’t mind playing for the Gold Coast’.

“He saw a huge lifestyle attraction in the Gold Coast because it was an area he saw his wife and kids enjoying.

“I was keen to have formal discussions, but we never got past first base because they said they weren’t interested.

“I said to them, ‘Adam is dead serious’, but we couldn’t get a bite at all. Nothing … I even offered to throw in a set of steak knives.”

Lol this news is months old at this point... Badel must've wrote it in the off season ready to ship out for this game and then head off early for the Easter long weekend
