I think people are being a bit harsh on tawha simply because of the hype that absolute idiot "guru" gave.

Dont get me wrong, hes been bad, but he isnt fletcher baker level lol. He has a dig. Just looks lost and has trouble keeping up with the intensity of the team. Always thought he'd be a 2-3 injury replacement level depth player. You dont come from getting into the dolphins/serial finals-missers pack because of an injury crisis to being a 1st choice in the premiership winning pack. Theres some dolphins-habits he needs to clean up, madge needs to decide whether he will get there with 15 mins at nrl level a week or have a stint in qld cup and play 50 mins and work on it without the pressure (i think qld cup option).

Also, blowing the mam/break try opportunity. Let's not forget he also created the opportunity by pushing up at speed and following the play.

The problem for us is we dont have many/any options after him. Jaiyden hunt is solid but hardly inspiring, ben te kura sounds like he's coming back from injury, semu is a debutant, tupou francis is way too young (but looked the best of the lot in the trials), and beni Allen sounds too early as well. I think this conversation is very different next year with francis and Allen coming through, plus would love to get lahrs and a 2nd row option.

I don't know who the "guru" is or what hype there was around him. I'm forming my grading and opinion based on what I've seen, nothing more. He might come good, I hope he does because competition for spots is important but a 20 minute max forward who provides little to no impact is not good enough. I'd rather give those minutes to someone who is younger and with more upside, like a Te Kura.

Its really hard too because he isn't a kid and if we get a few injuries, I have no trust whatsoever this guy could come back out and close out a game. He's Spencer Leniu without the ability and I don't rate Leniu.

Yeah I’ve come round to this not being a sin bin.

I watched the replay on TV and the initial Dolphin tackler fell off Mariner. There was a six again though - offside?
I didnt think there was 1.

One of the few sets there wasnt 1 called lol

commentators kept crapping on about how many ex Broncos were in the side.

There were nine players that have played for the other side. Surely that hasn't happened too many times in RL.

Ezra may have cost a try but his defence has improved as well so I think the attack will come down that side of the field soon enough. Liked how hard he was hitting in defence and that ankle tap was fantastic! Just glad to see us play 80 minutes and step up without Payne.

Run at Ezra front on one out .
You`ll get a shot put on you . Send 3 guys at him with options to pass inside or out . He might shoot out of the line and leave a gap . Or stand still and let the runner go through untouched .
It`s when there`s decisions to be made he is wanting .
