There was the shot from maybe Taupau on Rapana, where Rapana completely dropped to the ground defusing a bomb, Marty collected him high and the ball spilled out. Was it maybe Marty's knee that collected him because he went straight over the top he dropped that much.

I think broncos picked it up and scored... and we were behind by like 2, but we got penalised for a completely accidental contact and that effectively ended the game
That's the one. I guess the high contact changes the situation... even if it was completely accidental and there was nothing Marty could do about it.

@Super Freak was it Nelson who used to do those front on below the knees legs tackle? I swear that wasn't the first time we've seen that type of tackle and I think he may have got away with it then as well.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I don't think there was any intent from Cobbo, but I still think it's a dangerous tackle and ought to be penalised.

Look at a lot of the head high tackles. No one is going out there looking to clothesline another player, but players just get careless and mistakes happen.
Yeah NAS used to do those tackles. He was spamming them in the 2020 GF. It was super effective but also incredibly lucky he never snapped someone up.

He got Paps pretty good.

Did you watch the 2025 GF ?
he played well and had an impact - that doesnt mean his overall body of work since the 2023 grand final hasnt been below average - hes either had head demons from being called a name or suspended for half of that time. We are miles away from getting value for money from himn

He was one of the best 5/8's in the comp in his return last year up until his injury and even when he returned from his injury, he played well.

He's had 4 bad games and you're already comparing him to Milford. It's stupid.

What you're seeing just isn't there.

Doubtful surely.

You are probably right but sometimes...you have to give your youth a taste...Verhoeven is clearly a significant talent and Arthars hasn't set the world on fire, so who knows?

I doubt it too but even if he doesn't start, if a back goes down during the game like Anderson next week, he is getting a debut.

19. Verhoeven - I find this very, very interesting. I wonder if there might be a late switch with Arthars.
Not a chance. It’s clearly to do with punishing Josiah. Both Hoeter and Anderson are injured. We have run through the candidates.

There is definitely a chance, he is on the bench, so there is every chance he comes in at some point.

But on that, we still have Hoeter and Perham we could call on if we wanted to.

If we don't bring ourselves down to Titans level and play to our ability, we'll put on points. If that's the case, he could probably come on for a short stint just to give him a taste.

If the game is in the balance though, can't see him coming on.
