Surely Reynolds won’t be goal kicking even if he’s playing. Kotoni better be getting in the reps at training.

Madge is rarely wrong recently whenever he has controversial dropped or named a player he has been right. Reno is the right pick and I'm assuming must be fit

I don't get it.
Official club statement said Reynolds is out for 1-2 weeks. He is named starting halfback 48 hours later.
This is where transparency needs to be enforced by the NRL.
It is bullshit that clubs can do it and we have to wait an hour before kickoff to find out the final run on side.
Information sharing needs to be SO much better if the NRL is going to happily take in the betting dollar.

Madge did the same a couple weeks ago as well.

Reynolds was ruled out at like 1pm and then a couple hours later he's named in the 7... then he just drops out 24hr before kick off anyway so it's not even like he's doing it for mind games.

It's like we don't have 22 fit players so he just names the injured guy anyway.

Maguire is increasingly confident Reynolds will be cleared by doctors to face the Cowboys on Friday night at Suncorp Stadium after a positive fitness test at Broncos training on Tuesday

While the premiership No.7 sat out the main session, he ran strongly in some one-on-one personal drills, giving Reynolds confidence he can handle a Cowboys forward onslaught.

Reynolds will have a final fitness test during the captain's run tomorrow

“I’m going to give him until the captain’s run and then we will see how he pulls up.

I'm assuming Madge doesn't want to leap into a game without 3 of our regular playmakers, which is why he's willing to risk playing Reynolds. You could argue that Reynolds playing this weekend eases the team into a Walsh-less, Hunt-less few weeks - even if Reyno re-injures and misses the following weekend.

But I'd much rather Madge just give Duffy the 7 jersey now. No umm-ing and ahh-ing, back him in and let him tear into his old team with confidence. If we lose - big deal, that's what happens when you've got three major injuries. And then we'll have Reynolds at 95-100% fitness against the Tigers... who are a way better team than the Cowboys at the moment.

Yeah no offence, and I know this is crazy, but I am going to go with the guy that just won our first premiership in 19 years, his second NRL premiership on this one.
