I get the feeling that we’re building systems how we play and soon it will not matter so much who out
a lot like melb used to be
Good post. Yes we are definitely taking leafs out of the Storm playbook on squad building and roster construction.

Are we slowly becoming a systems based club? Dunno, might be.

If thats the direction we are heading, then we truly are becoming the northern equivilent of the Panthers...

Though as Melbourne is showing, you still need to have a level of talent in your twos. Our side is still pretty strong but we have a serious handbrake without Walsh, Bunt and Reynolds.

The pleasing thing from last week was the team looked super composed in the second half after Walsh went off and it was Bhunt and Mam in the halves.

They just completed sets, made yardage and defended well. Attack flowed off the back of it and if Staggs could kick the scoreline would've blown out in that second half.

How lucky we have the 6 man bench for that game right?

On the flipside I've seen some outlets trying to guilt the Broncos over Madden when he's still the same popgun halfback that he was at Red Hill.

I think I banished this bloke from my memory even quicker than I did Brodie Croft.

Was listening to the NRL Physio and he mentioned that Mam was noticeably limping on the ankle that was hip dropped on at training Tuesday.

Do we know how he's trained the past couple of days?

He's trained, but it probably explains why we've brought Rogers onto the bench.

I don't think he's going to be hampered by it, though.

A halfback will always look good when their team is winning the ruck. Last month it was tanah boyd that suddenly became elite when the Warriors were rolling through teams.

Looking forward to you being proven wrong.

I don't see this as a sliding doors moment for Black. Black was happy to stick around when Duffy signed, it was only when Pezet signed long term that he saw the writing on the wall. Now if next year Pezet struggles and Black is stuck playing NSW Cup that'd be fair, but he'd still be competing with Rogers for that 3rd banana role.

Makes it worse the Broncos are still paying him to be that average half.
