Gout Gout runs today in the Aussie 200 Champs. He should be up against Kennedy which might push both of them. How exciting.
 
Gout is incredible but hat off to Murphy as well, 19.88 is amazing. Is these two can also convert to the 100m, Aus suddenly has a gun relay too with Kennedy and Browning thrown in.
 
Yesterday we’d never had an Aussie under 20sec (wind legal)… today a 19.67 (16th all time, U20 WR) and a 19.88.

It would look sus if you didn’t know that poor GG has been running illegal-wind 19s and gale-force headwind 20.2s for over a year. We just needed okay conditions to show that Aussie sprinting’s back, baby
 
There’s another dude who has run under 10 seconds - Nketia. He switched from NZ to Aus last year. Albeit with an illegal tail wind, that’s impressive. And while both he and Gout Gout’s sub-10 runs have been illegal, crazy to think Australia suddenly has three guys who can run under 10 and a fourth who is 10.00. I’m also keen to see what Murphy can do if he gives the 100 a go after what he did in the 200 at the nationals.

What an exciting time for Aussie sprinting. Aus is a legit medal chance in the 4x100 at the next Olympics. Nuts.
