When I first saw Burton's tackle, I immediately thought that was at least two weeks without even looking at the replay. It was pretty ****ing bad in slo mo. I'm surprised Staggs just got and walked away.
The defence last year finished 7th for points against... I think it was mentioned that it was the worst ranked defence to win the comp since like Tigers in 2005.
Feel like the shit showing to start this year was the tipping point for Madge who's probably like... "the defence is shit and this **** wants me to release him for origin.. how about you spend more time fixing the ****ing mess at home first"
If my friend behaved like Gordie does, I’d tell him to pull his head in and stfu. Not sure why kevvie tolerates it given ARey is apparently a close friend?Unlike some other type of raging bovine I can recall…![]()

I was trying to think how many might be out during Origin? 5 or 6?This team man. Origin period doesn't seem so scary now
Off the top of my head:I was trying to think how many might be out during Origin? 5 or 6?
They don't grade the charges.Nothing suss...

Google tricked me lol. Even better. Links to storm, bulldogs, Titans, Newcastle, dragons. Im sure they'd have no subconscious bias. You've conflated two roles; the panel decide the weeks out if you fight it. They rotate it you only get two of them and always Geoff to run the legal side.
Michael Hodgson, Anthony Quinn, Steve Clark, and Stuart Raper watch every game live and then meet to decide grading within 24 hours.
Are you alleging there is a criminal conspiracy?Interesting that four guys can see Carrigan and Neame make head contact and form up with 2 weeks for one and absolutely nada for the other despite him literally leaving the ground to hit a much taller man on the chin.

How many would have to be imprisoned to satisfy you?
Engaging in Match-Fixing Conduct
Match-fixing is becoming more prevalent world-wide. In 2014, the offence of engaging in match-fixing conduct was introduced into the Criminal Code 1899.www.armstronglegal.com.au
I hate the origin period for this exact reason and while its hard to feel any pity for them the Panthers for example could be absolutely pulled apart again and I think looking at the Draw play the Warriors in NZ again during origin, its just simply not an even playing field.Off the top of my head:
Definites:
- Patty
- Payne
Highly likely:
- Walsh (likely picked on the bench at minimum)
Possibles:
- Staggs
- Ezra
... Can easily see both Staggs and Ezra getting picked on the bench
Others:
- Gehamat Shibasaki (there last year... might be there if his form improves)
- Ben Hunt (has been there before... break glass for Qld if needed)
- Brendan Piakura (was around the Qld squad last couple years)
- Jesse Arthars (was around the Qld squad last year)
The big thing this year is they've extended the bench to 6 and there is still an extra man, so that will be 20 players per team (excluding the extra squad players that stay during the week), which means 40 first graders are being removed from the competition.
When injuries are factored in that will be a lot of players missing during the origin period and teams will be seriously stretched.
Origin will have to be standalone soon, because the above is just insanely disruptive.
To be honest the NRL should make it mandatory that the 20th man in origin (i.e. the guy that is just there as HIA cover) should have to come from a team on the bye.
Highly unlikely they will play and even if they get on due to foul play or whatever there are still 2 other guys on the bench that you picked before that 20th man.
