Go my bent nose brother!!
He is my Hunt
I WILL ALWAYS LOVE MYHUNT!!
Pezet is no guarantee. He’s been hot and cold in his first grade appearances. It's an interesting dilemma. If Dozer gets a chance to show he knows how to unlock Walsh at some point this season....Welp Pezet would have some work to do.

Duffy is no slouch either.
While I’m not sure Ben Hunt is the best option at 7 next year, I wouldn’t have an issue with keeping him on the cheap and earning that spot - forcing Pezet to have a season under Madge’s coaching before making the step up into first grade.
Also, pretty sure Ben may be our only player eligible for the long service cap discount once Reynolds retires.
Pretty sure the veteran allowance is either 200 or 300k. Which given Hunt is on 500k this year to be an aging bench utility, his market value is probably 300k which means we can extend him for basically free
I’m just purely guessing here but I wonder if Carrigan also qualifies and maybe at a pinch HGiki and Staggs but that’s pure guessing.
After Reynolds retires Benny will be our most experienced player, but after him it's actually Jensen then Staggs... although with Jensen's current health status Staggs will overtake him.I’m just purely guessing here but I wonder if Carrigan also qualifies and maybe at a pinch HGiki and Staggs but that’s pure guessing.
It’s 8 years at the club or 10 years in the game. It’s 300K across each club though, not per eligible player. After Reynolds retires Benny will be our most experienced player, but after him it's actually Jensen then Staggs... although with Jensen's current health status Staggs will overtake him.
Patty is about 15 games behind those two.
I thought the veteran allowance was 8 seasons?? Staggs debuted in 2018, so he's potentially already eligible.
Yeah so Staggs would qualify as of this year. Reyno and Bhunt obviously as well. It’s 8 years at the club or 10 years in the game. It’s 300K across each club though, not per eligible player.
If it’s 8 years at one club then they start qualifying next year (crazy to realise that). If it’s 10 they’re still a couple years away.I’m just purely guessing here but I wonder if Carrigan also qualifies and maybe at a pinch HGiki and Staggs but that’s pure guessing.

Thanks for confirming mate. Sproj is right then, looks like a few of the boys close to qualifying if not already.it's 300k across the club- it's top 30 for 8 years continuous at one club or 10 years across the NRL.
