Gosiewski: “I just got in and did my job”

Broncos forward Jack Gosiewski addresses the media as the team prepare ahead of Round 9 clash with the Roosters in Sydney.

- Walsh needs to get through a few more sessions but hopefully will be good to go
- Jensen has only just got out of hospital, was lucky to get through the game with nothing serious happening (goodness me!)
- Jensen won't be back any time soon
- Jensen has a lost a lot of weight
- Sounds like Jensen is lucky to be alive, that's crazy
- I (Gosiewski) have been training through the middle this week, not expecting to be second row but we'll see
- Xman is getting the players' player vote the last couple of weeks
- Playing middle now adds something, hopefully can get something sorted, I want to stay here
- I love the city, the fans and I'm only 2 hours from home (in Byron?)
- Random chat about the Roosters that was actually pretty funny

Mariner: “We’re all playing for each other”

- Yeah the knee is fine, just manage it and its all good
- Pretty lucky to get that try last week
- Ezra's was way better than mine
- I've got a lot of faith in Gehamat and Josiah to handle Mark Alphabet
- Not sure what will happen with Walshy but hopefully he'll be good to go
- Staggs and Riki are fine, we're all carrying something
- Playing with the injuries highlights the massive believe in the team
- I'm fine, just a little scare with the knee but all good
- Eventually I'd like to move in to centre but right now I'm just happy to do what I can for the team and I'm enjoying playing on the wing
- Yes looking forward to playing for Samoa if I get to
- PNG is something the manager will deal with, we'll worry about it when the time comes and get a contract sorted - this was not as bad as it sounds - very much deflection

I’m really enjoying watching how much Mariner is developing and maturing - on and off the field. He’s going to be up there with that Holmes, Gagai echelon of outside backs when we look back on his career.

Gagai Origin level IMO. There was a time early in his NRL career he was making stupid errors, dropping balls, and the stories about him being a bit of a space cadet, it was nearing the point where people would have preferred The The had successfully poached him. But **** has he turned it around.
