POST GAME [Round 9, 2026] - Broncos vs Roosters

We have lost out last 5/6 games with Adam gee. These 6 games come at a time when we became the premiers....

He also refereed the 2023 grand final and we have the worst penalty for/against with him then any other team. (0.76 for/against record meaning for every 1 penalty against us we get 0.76)

Hey, im sure its a coincidence. Adam gee was born and raised in Bankstown.

Adam Gee should never have missed that tackle on Cleary.

BRONCOS
Best: Peter Gough 85.7% (7 games, 6 wins), Gerard Sutton 58.3 (12 games, 7 wins)

Worst: Adam Gee 21.4% (14 games, 3 wins), Grant Atkins 40% (15 games, 6 wins)

Average penalties 2023: 5.3 received (equal 11th), 5.6 conceded (equal 10th)

Average set restarts: 2.7 awarded (equal 3rd), 2 conceded (equal 5th)

Verdict: Adam Gee is to the Broncos what kryptonite is to Superman with 11 losses from 14 games. And wouldn’t you know it, guess who the Broncos have for Friday night’s blockbuster against the Eels at the Gabba? We should point out that the Eels also have their worst record in recent seasons under Gee (3 wins from 9). At the other end of the scale Broncos fans would be riding Peter Gough all the way to the grand final if they make it that far, with only 1 loss under Gough in 7 games since 2020.

This was on a bulldogs forum in 2023. He needs to be investigated. Not even joking here

Billy Walters drove this alot. Was your Mitch Kenny. Paix doesnt have that engine.
He did, but again, I'm almost certain it's the strategy. Also why we go for short dropouts - it's a chance to get the ball back (albeit small because **** we are terrible at them) BUT we don't have to run out 30-40m and try and hold teams back from there. Our goal line D is usually very good so we have faith in that and wait for them to make an error out of frustration.

I'm convinced at least part of our energy at the back end of games is due to the way we play, we don't go all out for the 80mins, we conserve energy for the most important parts of the game and of the field.

This has got to be addressed for next year and beyond .. We’ve only made more metres than the opposition once this season and most games it hasn’t even been close.. Sure there’s been injuries but continually getting lapped in this area isn’t sustainable 👀

Hard to make any run meters when you only have 43% possession.

Paix has the engine but for me just doesn't offer anything special at all, blokes robotic asf. He is solid and gets the job done but I feel like almost every week I look at the opposition 9 and think wow they are so more creative. I don't know if it's even a bad thing he just doesn't offer anything exciting

First Broncos game in 25 years I didn’t watch last week because I can’t stand the state of the sport.

Felt guilty all week about it so tuned into this one.

Why did I bother? Go find something better to do with your time guys, rugby league is over.

He is fighting for his life. He was originally a 7. He isnt very big and has probably had to learn how to defend as a middle. Takes a decent motor to lead line speed every play the ball and try and stop all these big units.

Geez its nasty in here tonight.
Everyone should take a step back and don't respond. You dont have to have the last say.
Not going to read thru 10 pages. What's the nasty?

I'm not happy with our first 40, and our middle absolutely bent back the entire game. Attacking the edges shifted our points.

Yes very true he does his job so I shouldn't complain.

People pissed off at terrible reffing.
More injuries.
JayPee that dirty cowgirls shit stain deliberately trolling people in the match thread for the 100th time.
Staggs having a brain explosion.
Did I mention the farcical refereeing?
