POST GAME [Round 9, 2026] - Broncos vs Roosters

A quick Google search shows it is extremely severe if not caught straight away but since it has been, that's good news.

The bad news is: Football players with acute compartment syndrome (ACS) typically require emergency surgery (fasciotomy) and can return to play within 3 to 6 weeks, provided the diagnosis is prompt.
Ok this is much better than I was reading - what I found was saying you wouldn't be walking for 3-4 weeks

Another thing, it's happened again.

We didn't score a single point last night until Reynolds left the field. Walsh and Reynolds for whatever reason just don't work well. I'm not discrediting Reynolds, he's been great for us. It just seems we are playing better when we have one or the other out there, not both.

Having said that, we were dominated last night in the first 40, can't put that down to Reynolds. It just keeps rearing it's ugly head, the fact that we look much much better with either Walsh or Reynolds controlling the team, not both.
I think Reyno digs into the line a bit more, which is fine if he was a running threat, but it takes a bit of time/space from Walsh especially when the other team is never offside.

Also mam doesn’t seem to get the timing right with Walsh either. Always passes behind him or down around his knees.
I partially blame this on how different Walsh and Reyno play. Very different tempo's, obviously Mam needs to be better with that in general, he has been playing with that combo for years.

But Reyno is giving Mam barely any room to give to Walsh or vice versa. So Mam thinks he has to sling the ball as soon as he gets it otherwise the defense is on him.

If he does get it away though, it is usually a Walshy or Gem/2R try.

Just listened to Triple M talking about the Mariner injury. FMD Gordie is just painful. Kills any attempt at a conversation and just repeats his same talking point over and over

I reckon Gordie has performed a curse on us with these injuries.

Any news on Karapani? I saw NRL physio say that it is most likely an ankle sprain, and depending on severity could be 3-8 weeks out. But if scans show there is no damage, I am sure Madge will only drop him if he can't complete training.

Poor Mariner though. He has been phenomenal. Arthars has his shot again. If Staggs is out, then either Nio or Hayze would come in.

No doubt brought up the rorters injuries mid game whilst ignoring the fact that we came into the game with a bigger injury toll and also lost key players mid game

Yeah ****ing Staggs the dumb****.
Part of the leadership group and does something like that.
1 a dogshot
2 10 in the bin and guarantees the loss
3 lets us down for next week compounding our inury crisis.

R17, Jun 26 is when we will likely have our full strength team barring CJ & Billy(?). Hopefully between now and then, all our players get healthy, fit and raring to go full speed.

Guess, who we play on that day at Suncorp? It’s the fcukin Rotters. Our revenge will be sweet. We’ll smoke them. Period!

Alright princess, I’m sorry Kotoni being a big bad meanie and playing too rough and tough offends and upsets you.

It upset the touch judge who saw it close up , it upset the ref who sent him off and reported him , it upset the fans at the ground who thought the Broncos still had a chance although slim of pulling off the upset , it upset people watching on TV that a leader of the team they support thought he needed to play rough -gain some respect by being a grub .

Imagine how many injuries we're going to get in the meantime though.

Madge and the leadership group will probably tell him we expect better, not a good look. But it is what it is.

Time for the young players to stand in and step up. From what we have seen since RND5, everyone is hungry for a position.

where the **** is the charge list? This is the latest that I can remember them being almost ever
