Lets put this to bed: Madge was the right call over Kevie

I think he gets another gig in the nrl pretty soon. There’s a few clubs searching for a new coach and unless all the negative mail is 100% spot on I don’t see why another club (especially one needing a rebuild) doesn’t give him a shot.
Unless Ipswich Jets are coming in 2928, doubt that. His family are here, he isn’t going to move away from SEQ. Aussie or Qld job probably perfect for him

Man, full marks for you planning that far ahead, but I just don't think the NRL are as forward thinking as you are.
Plus, a lot can happen in 900 years.

That Roosters game. Completely turned into touch football which took everyone by surprsised, madge kind of called it out in the presser.

Under no other ex Brisbane coach am I convinced we stop them from getting 50 except madge after that first half.

The fact we even came within a sniff of a win is another credit to Madge

I said this every time the "injury" excuse came up. We looked like complete trash even when we were full strength in '24. We had plenty of opportunities with a decent squad to win more games than we did.
Yes
The doggies game at suncorp comes to mind?

Im pretty sure we had walks, mam, haas ! (possibly even staggs?)

The fact we're even in games atm is ridiculous. If the injuries stop, we're easily better than most of the comp considering we're beating/going with them all despite an injury toll which would have nearly any other club anchored to the bottom of the table.

+1 on this!

However it is concerning the timing/length/positions of these injuries...
Starting to worry if we will have strongest side on the field in time...

Thats the only concern for me.

We might not even get our strongest 17 on the park... might have to settle for 80-90% of it, but even then.... considering the time to get a few runs out of the way, then to gel again, etc.

Don't want to be a doomsayer, but its looking a bit grim on the injuries =/

Yeah but we also lost that game because of Duffy’s inexperience.

That kick after the field goal, it was a bad kick and not one Reyno would have made, as a result they started their set on their 30 rather in their 10.

He didn’t give it anywhere near enough hang time for the chasers to swarm Drinky the moment he got the ball.

Maybe they still would have got the field goal, but that extra 20 metres is valuable in a tight game like that one.

He’s a future half for sure but I hope people realize they will need to be patient with him because it will take him some time to learn these lessons.
Reyno's short kicking game has been superb but we were stuck in our own half for most of the game because he couldn't get the ball down the other end. In those cases Walsh needs to be the one getting the ball.
