Lets put this to bed: Madge was the right call over Kevie

I see you’re a troll now. What a way to spend your Saturday night. Fortunately for you, the rest of us aren’t allowed to share our opinions on your inability to understand context, knowledge of the sport and overall intelligence.
I've posted about 6 times in a month - immediately triggering people because they've gone in early by starting threads like this... We haven't improved since walters left, we looked like shit last night and have only beaten plodders this year. We got lucky last year to hit a purple patch against a sub standard overall competition.

My only issue with Madge is... why the **** is Goejetski getting selected always.

That said, Kevie made equally as baffling selections.

This is why I said your “lack of ability to understand context”. We are far better now than we were, but there’s half a squad on the sidelines. Unfortunately what you’ve said is some of the dumbest shit I’ve ever read

the quality of the comp was one of the worst in a long time.
Not sure how you can make excuses for Kevvies time either side of 23 but bag Madge for this injury riddled year and discredit last year
because it was the "weakest year".
At this stage you're desperately hoping your own team fails so you can claim ( in your mind) some kind of I told you so victory.

Fact Kevvie didn't get it done
Fact Madge did.
Literally nothing else matters, the silverware is in the cupboard.

The weak comp argument doesn't even make sense. By what metric are you determining that it was weak? In any case, unless you're the Storm, there aren't asterisks next to premiership years on the basis of a weak comp.
Fancy downplaying your first win in nearly 20 years because it was a weak comp. lolllllll

A year is often called soft when it's a one horse race.

Tell me who could have won last year?

Storm, solid form at 17 wins and 7 losses. Only just edged out the Panthers themselves in their last game of 2025 together.

Penrith, absolutely, they came into the finals looking quite hot to go 5 in a row. It took a herculean to the wire effort to fight past them.

Raiders, minor premiers, destroyed pretty much everyone all year going 19 and 5.

Dogs, won most of the year then fell over in the finals. Probably the "softest" of the top 8.

Bottom half of the 8 + the Phins who probably deserved to be there too were very competitive.

The year saw tonnes of come from behind wins, not just from us either.

If Moses had been fit, I would have actually been bloody worried about them being in the 8 towards the end too, they were just so far behind when he was out injured for it not to impact finals.

It would be next to impossible to argue 2025 wasn't a competitive year.

Remember last year we only lost 5 games oh wait we lost 5 games so far. We just have win this week 2 points will be ours then next week we will pick up another two points by round 14 we will be full strength

I don't get the argument against us though.
En route to the premiership we beat:
Minor Premiers
4 time reigning premiers
Hoodoo team who've bent us over for the last 2 decades.
Which part of that sequence was weak?
