POST GAME 2026 State of Origin

As for Qld, surely this would have been a better side:

1. Walsh
2. Ponga
3. Chester
4. Toia
5. Hammer
6. Munster
7. Cherry-Evans
8. Tino
9. Grant
10. Collins
11. Finefuiaki
12. Luki
13. Cotter

14. Plath
15. Carrigan
16. Mikaele
17. Hetherington
18. Capewell
19. Purdue

I would have gone Clifford instead of DCE ... but other than that, good team. Far better than what Slater selected

What i would have as the QLD side
1. Walsh
2. Ponga
3. Toia
4. Purdue
5. Hammer
6. Munster
7. Walker
8. Carrigan
9. Grant
10. Big Tino
11. Plath
12. Finefuiaki
13. Cotter

14. Mann
15. Su'A
16. Capewell
17. Gilbert
18. Chester
19. Mam
Get off the drugs bro.

Apparently Casey McGuire is coming out of retirement to play for the Blues.... IYKYK....

I wonder how a 46 year old that hasn't played since '12 would go.

Didn’t mam practically rule himself out of contention and asked not to be picked lol

Post Translation for those interested:
The Muppets Smiling GIF by ABC Network
Ironically by doing this you paid attention to me. Giving me the desired dopamine fix.

Could have sworn that just a few days ago, you were having a go at someone else for putting up useless gifs as responses, and not much else, just like you have done here.

I note you gave a like to his post that said that Qld state of origin selections by Billy Slater were a conspiracy designed to disadvantage the Brisbane Broncos .

Do you really believe that is the truth ?

Is that all the post said?

No Broncos at all would be perfect. But they’re going to be picked on the bench and given very little game time then miss out on games for us. Slater intentionally ****ing us while he interviews for the Storm job as Queensland coach
@Big Del

Was actually reacting to "No Broncos at all would be perfect"

HE IS RIGHT, and aye, I agree with him.

NEXT?

I'd probably be along the lines of the below:

1. Ponga (safer at the back and fits into structure better than Walsh)
2. Jojo (like the call I think he's a good footy player)
3. Toia
4. Hammer
5. Chester (love his hitups and work rate... also has aggression about him)
6. Munster
7. Clifford
8. Cotter
9. Grant
10. Tino
11. Capewell
12. Finefuiaki
13. Carrigan (want a bigger body for the first 20-30)

14. Plath (on after 30 at 13)
15. Collins
16. Mikaele/Gilbert/Loiero/Flegler (just want two decent sized props off the bench)
17. Nikora / Luki
18. Cobbo (outside back coverage... could also come on as a big body through the middle)
19. Mam

I said in a different thread that Ezra’s best position could actually be that Dylan Walker role off the bench... I think he can definitely perform that playmaker in the middle role that Qld loves and he'll probably be the most physical one we've had there since Khunt was doing it. Can see him getting on the field even outside of injuries

Hard to believe someone who spent his entire career salty that him and his mates weren’t signed by us, creating new ways to cheat and wanting us to lose would have it out for us years later. Crazy thought.

As a result, if he keeps snubbing Walsh, I want him to keep coaching.
