Yeah was a fun race for sure. Crazy how good Kimi is. He's WAY outperforming Russell. It'll really be interesting to see if he can keep this up for the whole season, its a big ask.

That said, its nice to see what its like for a team to not favour one driver over another. If this had been the case with McLaren, Oscar would already be world champion.

Kimi legit could be anything with how young he is and how well he is doing. He still hasnt nailed a start but is managing to convert all his poles to wins.

Incredible talent.
 
Merc upgrade has them streaking ahead of everyone else again
 
This should be a great race. McLaren look good on the longer stuff, George and Kimi might also be starting to not like each other, should be fun if they take each other out.

There is every chance of being fireworks as they jockey for position to get first preference on pits. Unless Toto has read them the riot act after the sprint. They'll want first preference due to Lando particularly looking good as the sprint went on, so they'll be worried on him for the race.
 
Very reminiscent of Oscar and Norris from last year. Keen for them to take each other out and throw Norris into the deal.

What a shambles from McLaren.

Then the racing between the 2 Mercs was fun while it lasted.
 
Yep was a great race, unfortunately McLaren decided they wanted to do a Ferrari and give it all away before it even started. Then Piastri decided to finish it all off with a dumb move that clearly damaged his car and got himself a penalty - he's driving frustrated, not good.

And we might well be about to see a teenage world champion. Mercedes seem to be favouring Russell but Kimi is just so good, it doesn't matter.

Hamilton said post-race he made the call last second to not start on inters so they nearly pulled the Ferrari anyways lol. But both drivers were apparently telling McLaren they didn't want inters and they did it on both...

Agree completely on Oscar. It looks like we might be in for a long season.

It was such a dumb call. I get it was drizzling but the track didn't look remotely wet. Embarrassing when both cars are lapped before half distance and then one retires due to mechanical issues.
 
Monaco quali in 20 mins. Arguably better than the race.

Interesting if there is any more overtakes with these go parts, but theres still the same lack of space.
 
Yep we are watching the next superstar emerge.
 
Is there a more boring race on the calendar than Monaco? Tune in for the dash to the first corner and that's it.
 
Yeah its tough because even in these cars theres still not enough track for overtakes.

The start will be interesting.. Kimi and Max vs the 2nd row Ferraris who launch super quick, but then its all down to pit strategies

Great start Kimi, and shocker for Max unfortunately.

Kimi gapping the Ferraris already. I give it 5 mins before Leclerc is asking the team to get Lewis to let him pass.
