I would rather Carrigan start on the bench as he will still be recovering from origin.

In fact if we are flogging these guys madge would have the option of not playing him at all and giving him a complete rest.

There are more important games for him in the weeks ahead.
He’s on the bench in origin. He’ll be fine

We owe these guys a touch up.

They have won three of the past five at Suncorp including the last two games there, both of them being a 30-26 win for them.

According to Dobbo on his podcast, the Origin plan is for Pat to come on around twenty minutes and play the game out.
I'm assuming Loiero is the sub for Plath and Patty will be in the prop rotation.

Flegler has been playing 35mins a game so far this year.

Collins is lucky to get through 35 as well.

Tino should be looking at 50, but Patty might have to play about 50 as well

Anyone else got 2024 vibes

Anyone else got 2024 vibes? Short pre season, exhibition and the injuries galore. Now we have players returning like we did in 2024 but several returning from injury. Chasing fitness is never easy during the season. I can see this being make or break for our season

Not really.

2024 we rocked up to pre-season thinking it would all just happen for us and we'll cruise back to the Grand Final. We got a rude shock and didn't have the resilience to bounce back and just kept digging that hole deeper and deeper.

We've been doing well given the horror injury toll we've had. Should have won the Roosters game and would have if it wasn't for the Patty and Staggs brain explosions. The last two games have been a result of fatigue catching up to us (and having no ball), we needed the bye, but I also think the way Madge does things has contributed to that but we'll benefit from it at the back end of the season. Like last year, we were the fittest team in the comp at the back end of the year, we got better as games went on whereas our opposition tired.

I think we'll be fine.

I will say, I think the England trip with bite us in the ass/already has done.
I said it as soon as it was announced we were going, it really wasn’t necessary.
Shortened preseason, internationals, two week trip to England.
It takes its toll and especially not having any actual benefit on our season.
Cherry on top was losing.

Yes and if we had of won, who cares? It's forgotten about 24 hours later.

Just on our last month; I think it is actually fair to use our injuries as an excuse, but the other thing to consider is that we have just been pumped by the teams coming 2nd, 3rd & 4th. We still beat the Dogs who are trash; scraped home against the Tigers, took the Cowboys (6th) to the limits. We haven't been beaten by duds.

We just need to get a few wins on the board now against the lesser teams to kickstart the season.

Looking at that Dragons team list, if we can't beat that, we aren't a chance this year anyhow.
