Yeah I had serious crows feet listening to that. Denan really has shit the bed; he had something good for a while and I once listened often, now it is an absolute chore.

Did anyone catch the weird Gould non answer on the channel 9 post show?
Bracey (to Gould) "What'd you think of the send off, Phil?"
Gould " You had better ask someone else, I don't want you to lose your job"

I know he wasn't impressed with the send off, but what did he mean by Bracey losing his job? Surely the guy getting paid for his expert opinion and refusing to give it would be closer to losing his job
 
At the end of the day we would have won the game if Walsh was the FB. For as much glazing as the comms gave him, I didn't think KP was that great when we were on top and then his send off obviously cost QLD the game.

He was brilliant for the time he was on the field. Then he ****ed it in 5 seconds.

Meaning he would be swearing etc.

They would all probably lose their jobs.
 
If last night was a fish, I'd throw it back.

With QLD going so well in the first 24 or so minutes, up 20-0 and again threatening inside the NSW 10m zone, I never thought that a Munster possession loss would turn out to be such a line-in-the-sand moment. From there NSW first stabilized, cut down the errors and eventually got down the other end, scored (and damn near scored again before HT).

It was also noticeable how from that moment QLD's own urgency started to drip away, the yardage runs not quite as energetically direct, the backine moves not nearly as crisp and ultimately the defensive linespeed and effectiveness not nearly as sure. Certainly the send-off fatally accelerated things but to me QLD was leaking some oil even before that.

As for the gushery about the Cleary MoM/GOAT thing, well for us who go back to the old Interstate days, there's something way worse than that, namely patronizing indifference. Surely we well recall games being being shunted off to that center of the RL world - Leichhardt Oval - as a nose-rubbed-in-the-mud statement that QLD simply was unworthy of the SCG.

This won't happen but I would like Ponga to contest the charge. There is plenty of evidence to suggest it wasn't a send off.
They should also call the bunker ref to give evidence and state what he said to Klein at the time ( we all have a pretty good idea of that).
Naturally the NRL will double down and Ponga will lose but that will just prove how corrupt the officiating of the game was.

Yeah, same. Now that he's also introduced ads at the start of every podcast, along with the mid pod sponsorship ads plus him selling his own stuff...I just can't listen to a full podcast anymore.

Also not a fan of some of the new panel members either.
